DSE Gen V Catch Can Kit Updates and More

I just wanted to share some updates with the Gen V catch can kits. First off the brackets are back in stock with revision 3 of the design.

This design has minor updates, most notably the accommodation for countersunk screws for any orientation of the catch can. I am calling this the “Jorgensen” mod due to the way they rotate their cans during the installation at Woodhouse.

Next I’d like to share what I thought was a great video explaining catch cans from “engineering explained” – what they are, what they do, why they aren’t included from the factory, and why you might want to add one to your Viper… This guy does a lot of great objective and scientific/engineering based videos on automotive topics if you haven't seen them.

I just installed a single sealed kit today on a beautiful green ACR Extreme which has been the most popular DSE kit, but lately some of the vented kits are going out the door for some of these more track oriented ACRs.

Lastly I've been able to achieve a price drop via quantity purchasing, so worth checking out the price if you haven't done so in a while. These can also be purchased via Woodhouse if your car is there new or for other mods.

    Thanks
    Doug

I happened to be the lucky green ACR-E owner Doug installed the catch can on today... I can tell you guys, you won't find a better made and quality product, or a better guy to buy it from... top quality all around... and a Viper lover to boot! GREAT JOB DOUG!

LOL thanks Doug, I love all of Doug's DSE products and I'm very grateful that designers like Doug are willing to use suggested tweaks from us little guys ;-)

Thank you for having me to your home and trusting me to work on your car! The install took about 30 minutes I think considering talking, gathering up the tools, and the humidity . Would love to come back and help you with a heat shield.

As I have mentioned there are no permanent modifications to your Viper to install any DSE product. Once installed the sealed catch can kit could be removed and put back to stock in probably 10 minutes if that was ever needed. The sealed kits are inline with the existing PCV system, keeping the factory routing intact and simply removing the oil and fuel mix that would otherwise go into the intake manifold and combustion chamber (even for street driven only cars).

Thank you, it is awesome to have the support of Viper Exchange and Woodhouse on my products, especially for the Heads and Cam builds. I'm definitely the "little guy" in your company and am proud that my products get installed at your respected dealerships and on some of your biggest track/strip builds.

Make sure to return to stock once you've spun your bearings.

    <.<

    Just kidding, sort of.

Doug makes beautiful accessories...I have his catch can bracket but haven't made a choice of catch can for my Gen IV yet.

Would the Gen V can work on my Gen IV (with or with the Gen V intake manifold) for clearance etc?

Thank you. I can set you up with a catch can, fittings, hose as needed for your Gen IV with either manifold, just contact me. I have everything in stock.

This can used for the Gen V wouldn't work as well on a Gen IV due to the layout of the fittings. I was originally going to use the Gen IV Radium can on the Gen V but size, fitting exit orientation, etc. all come into play when designing the best solution.
