Rubbing with lowering caps - impossible to track the car

Does anyone else have this issue? I bought the car with the caps installed and I rub about once every 5 miles or so. I don't understand how you would go and track this car with lowering caps as even a hard turn on the street (regardless of street/track mode) would cause it to rub. On the track you'd prob rip your fender off or blow a tire by the third turn.
I installed a set of forgestars at factory sizes and it does it even more now.
This is on a 2013 GTS and the caps are the only modification. I just did rims last night but like I said it didn't improve.

Are yours the Viper Exchange lowering caps or another brand that lower it even more?

I don't know why peeps lower these cars. My car is stock height, and I can bottom on those air-deflector thingies all the time on the lousy roads around here. It really take very little dip. I think there is a reason the engineers made the stock ride height the way they did.

I have the MCS coil overs on my 2013 GTS and initially rubbed because I lowered the car too much. The solution was to give the car a TA alignment (more camber front and rear) and raise it up a little.

Is your alignment stock? If so a TA spec alignment will likely solve the issue. The alignment will also help the handling significantly and doesn't increase tire wear by much.

I have the VE lowering caps on my GTS with the T/A alignment and have never had a issue with rubbing? With any lower sports car just have to adjust your driving and watch the road more.

The factory springs have a length tolerance of +- 1/2" so your car may have been on the low side to begin with, we have seen cars drop to only 3" splitter height on a TA with nothing but the owner supplied caps. Maybe take them out and see if your car is already low enough for you. Not all aftermarket wheels come with the factory offset so any change in that they do to push the wheels out more "flush" changes the clearance and handling.

I bought my 2013 GTS with lowered Eibach springs and Viper Exchange lowering caps...yes it's low. But I never have rubbing. Probably your alignment.

It sounds like you're just scraping the plastic flap/deflectors in front of the front wheels. Those are okay to scrape, and when you've scraped and ground them down more they will scrape no more

To Mark's point, I have a set of Forgelines that didn't rub at stock height except on very rare occasion on the track, and this was tire rub at the rear. The offset was not stock, spaced towards the outside. With a lowered car, I would not run anything but stock offset.

Lowering caps here with spacers, no issues with tire/fender clearance on the rear.

Fine with me. I honestly had no idea I had spacers on there... Dealer I bought it from made no mention of that.
