Feedback on RB Performance Brakes piston and seal kit for OEM calipers

We just finished preparing the brakes for the test day tomorrow and wanted to share results of our brake caliper inspection. Last winter, we replaced pistons and seals in OEM Brembo calipers, with RB kit.

Edit: more info on the kit

We have really abused the brakes on this car since then - endurance races, running the pads down to backing plates, temperatures in excess of 1000 degrees, you name it, we did it

There's about 20 hard race hours on this setup, not counting testing/practice time.

During the service today, we noticed that the pistons still move smoothly in all the bores - it is actually possible to compress all 4 pistons in each caliper by hand - something that was never possible with Brembo hardware, after it got some track hours on it.

So, if you are looking for an upgrade to brakes that get hard work-outs, or need to service your OEM caliper for some other reason, give RB a call (or contact them here on the forum).

Pictured are OEM and RB pistons side by side, used in the same caliper. OEM has more hours on it, but was never used for anything other than track days. RB had race use described above.

side by side of RB seals (dust seals, to be precise - actual seal is not visible) and OE replacement. Put in at the same time, into the same caliper. About 3 hours of race use.IMG_1389.jpg
