Probably $50,000 profit per car on 1 of 1 ACR / GTC. Getting into Porsche profit territory!

I have a verbal and am on my third custom paint polyform from Concierge.

Regarding ACR vs non-ACR and parts...I can imagine that the demand has taken them a bit by surprise and they are no doubt facing a serious supply issue. It's not like their suppliers can produce 100% more ACR parts on short notice and the plant has a set closing date. Demand appears to be outstripping their ability to supply for the first time in a decade.

I bet some orders take longer than 6 months. Just a hunch.

I for one am totally OK with that seeing as the thick of winter starts here in 4 months.

Agreed. Getting delivery in the snow wouldn't only blow, it'd be impossible

So I placed my order on 29 July for a 1 of 1 and got a call from the concierge on 11 August that my build was approved. No VIN yet and the concierge was very clear that it was going to take some time with all the orders coming in. We discussed the possibility of the Viper selling out this year and he said he wouldn't be surprised if they get a call from the factory one day saying that's all folks. If you're thinking about getting one, I'd do it soon. I'm glad I finally did.

On a side note, the 1 of 1 program and the concierge service is pretty awesome. What a cool and special way to get your Viper. Highly recommend it.

Oh the irony, SRT figures out how to sell the car in the moment of discontinuing it.

Just sold my gen5 this weekend, now I need to decide what to do. ACR, ACR-E, order, inventory, or go a different direction all together. My bday is in Sept so I was going to pull the trigger on something then. I too would want a spring delivery on the timing if I order - although CAAP pick up might be a bucket list item if I ordered, even worthy of the logistics hassle to do it.

My order is going in tomorrow. I sincerely hope it takes until late spring for my car to show up.....heading for Italy and Greece for two months beginning in September. Hawaii until the end of December and I am planning on going to all of the tennis slams next year.......only live once and I have two cardiac stents in the past year to prove it.

Congrats! I love my "new" ACR and the care you put onto it is obvious throughout. This 2008 is amazing, I can't imagine how the 2017 will be!

Keep in mind that early orders always seem to get done a bit sooner than others -- they are in the pipeline when the plant reopens. Orders behind them have always taken a lot longer, and part of the reason folks wonder why one car took 4 months and theirs took 6 ---simple a lot more cars ahead of yours and scheduled when the first ones out were at the very beginning of the line.

PS - I believe Policy Limits will likely be correct.

I heard that the plant is not accepting anymore orders after August due to how many recent orders that were placed and orders place now could take up to a year due to the amount of orders that were placed in the past week or so

There is a dealer spreading that rumor but it's false. They are just trying to get people to order cars from them.

Agree with Xnake ,the rumors seem to be getting silly with some Dealers giving exact dates that orders will cease, but as I mentioned before there is no set date. It is obvious to those of us who are selling a lot and with info we have received, that the sales are exceeding what SRT and Dodge expected. But no surprise to anyone on this Forum as many are aware of how quickly the Limited Models sold out to Dealers.

So you are vin 276, + 237 special editions = 499 so far? + the orders that are still coming in. Math says 2017 will be a very busy model year..

What was 2016 production numbers? 635 or so? (I seem to recall that number, I could be wrong)

Do the special editions have unique VINs or are they part of that 276?

That T/A orange 2016 ACR was # 645, that's the highest VIN I saw for the '16 model year

There were at least 100 prior to the special editions being ordered. Not sure how they are working those in to the system or if they have been yet.

I hope every 2017 is an ACR E, that way in 4 years when I'm ready to buy one I'll have a nice selection of low mile cars to choose from.

I think there will be more Gen V ACRs than IV ACRs and they made plenty of those (600+)
