    Generational picture request

Though possibly difficult, I'd love to see generational pictures of preferably the same colors of the different generations from the best angles possible (rear 3/4 is most flattering). I'd love to see a gen ll, lll, and V blue and white next to each other. I just think this could be a cool thread to really look at the evolution of the viper. The other night cruising with a local car Club I was driving behind a fellow gen V and just never got sick of staring at the lines of the car. We spend so much time in the cockpit that it's cool to see what other people do when driving. I'm sure a few members have a ton of pictures and are good with a photo editor. Let's see em!

I'm assuming you're referring to something similar to what Porsche does with the 911:

Best I can find of the Viper so far:

Yeah that's awesome, especially the last pic of the Porsche as you can individually look at them. Your red shot is good. The pics can also just be a two car shot not necessarily every gen in one. Any same color, different gen shots work. I bet we get some pretty awesome pictures. I really want to look at the gen 2 gts and gen V together at different angles.

If there's a blue/white Gen II anywhere near Rochester NY we can do the II III and V blue/white picture you asked for OP. I'm not aware of any however.

Yes. I don't have any good pictures of them together unfortunately. Need to do that at some point.

This isn't exactly what you're looking for but here are 1-5 all together. Mine is the gen 2, but all the other owners are on this forum.

No that's great. I think we will get more owners that have pics of two generations from different angles. Almost looking for comparison shots where you see the differences in design between generations but these are cool nonetheless!

The blue gen V and your gen 2 really stick out. I love the rear shot of the five generations. That blue gts with aero really captures well with that camera. Gorgeous collection of vehicles. The gen 1 and 2 look dated from the rear but still show great 3/4 views. I still think the lines of the gen two flow better overall any other generation. I can't think of a multi generation car where the 20 year old car not only is arguably better looking but could also be mistaken for a brand new model. Such classics.

From a styling standpoint, the 2 and 5 are my favorite as well.

These were shot professionally that day, but we haven't seen the results yet. I'm not sure when we will, but I'm sure they'll give you a way better comparison than my crappy cell phone shots above. The lighting was weird in there and my Galaxy had a hard time picking up color accurately.

Love that first shot. The gen 2 and V are next to each other and you really see how timeless that 20 year old car is. Follow the light going down the door then back up to the hood. That angle definitely puts the gen 5 to shame imo. I can look at the second gen Porsche and tell its a very dated car. Not so much with the Viper. Sweet pics.

Any other pics? This is a great representation of the evolution and cleaner pics would be great. In this pic, the gen V really stands out. Looks lowest and meanest. The gen lV looks great too. I think gen lll/lV look better and better to be lately and I think its because they deviated the most from the classic Viper curves. Now with the fifth gen looking more like the second I think I've grown fonder to the edgier appearance.

image.jpeg edit: wow it really got shrunk down. Too bad. But that's what I get for using an iPad.

Here's a picture of all the generations and I really do see the evolution well. The gen v really looks the modern part with the slimmer Windows and roof compared to the gen ll. What looks great in the ll is the gas cap but the V gets the cool differential/brake cooler duct by the window. Gen 3/4 definitely are edgier but to me the lines feel flat and very tame. I like this chart and would like to get a good copy of it.

Anyone know the wheels and sizes on the blue/white GTS in Flatout's picture? Also the suspension possibly? Perfect setup.

Such a beautiful set of pictures. Really shows how similar they look together but with a distinct evolution. I don't think any car from the mid 90s aged as well as a gen ll Viper. I want to add another gen ll one day as I miss mine.

Similar angle, same color and the three major generational changes.
