Please elaborate! Do you mean replacing all the body panels/aero etc?

Will talk to Tom Francis to see what works for street use and look at each body panel weigh it's benefit before making a decision is there anyone else out there who provides body panels.

I have 5 months before delivery in January and another few months before driving season.

What's up with the single plane wing on the GT3 is that a regulation issue or just they did not have the ACR wing designed at that time.

    homologated in France

not sure how you can use any of those parts on production car. They are used on tube frame race cars

Interesting project. The only time I've heard of something like this coming to fruition is the Champion Motorsports 911 Turbo RSR and that was apparently quite a pain in the bottom.

I like the concept... Just a guess, but it might almost be easier to replicate bodywork that looks similar to fit / bolt on the standard ACR-X than using the existing GT3 bodywork. You'd probably end up doing heavy modification anyway for fit / finish and mounting provisions.

Great points, Doug. Exactly what the Champion Motorsports guys ran into when trying to use the panels from the GT3 RSR on a Turbo S.

That was a good read. Going down this path with the Viper will be epic but sounds like it could be filled with many headaches. Would love to see it happen though. Wish you the best on the project OP.

Difference is RSR is still a production tub seem welded. The GTS-R is tube frame. It will just take molding the body parts to fit a production car and its points of adhesion. Can be done but with a lot of time and money

I considered this conversion when I first bought my GTS however it was just beyond my budget. Talk to Wayne at Xtreme Supercars. He indicated it may be possible to build an aftermarket GTS-R body panel kit if there was a market for it.

Isn't the car built by Riley?

There is a street legal comp coupe made out of a GEN III car... They kept all the interior as delivered...

I believe Bob is the only one to ever use the full racing body on a street car. IF the GT3 panels are hung similar to the comp coupe panels... He might be helpful to talk to... PM me if you would like to talk with him.

I doubt any of the panels will fit as the car is 3" overall wider IIRC. It's also built by Riley but Tom should still be able to help you out. Andy has a GT3-R hood in his office that he could measure off the #33 car for shits and giggles, send him a PM.

Hate to be the pessimist, but this is going to be a very challenging, very expensive project. As long as you're up for that, go for it.

    Thanks for the help.

Will keep everyone posted if anyone else is interested post or send a pm.

Given all the Vipers out there - there is a market.

I had a company overseas make GT3 body panels for my 360 Challenge Race car front and read fender were 4500.00 plus 1000.00 shipping.

Fit was perfect! It's amazing what can be done with FRP CF etc.

There is a guy who works for Pagani that makes many CF parts in colors - very inexpensive including a colored ACR - E cf wing.

Few examples - again it's a lot less than you all think CF parts from the factory have a huge mark up.

Please, PM me the name of the fellow who works for Pagani. I've had a few things that I've wanted made for my vehicles but never knew of a good source.

Can't wait to see how your car turns out, I remember when they unveiled the GT3-R at Le mans, I said to Ralph then, that should be the road car. He said they could not do it because of the width ect, but when you consider what Lamborghini do I think they would have had much better sales from the outset. There was a road going Gen V outside the tent, but it looked nothing compared to the GT3-R

Most everyone that has already posted is correct about the body panels from the race car fitting to the street car. No way they will work.

Love that GT3 - R and agree the more track focussed package are far more appealing. The ACR - E just needs a few tweaks the engine upgrades are perfect.

I am simply doing the research and talking to a few people.

Lamborghini / Ferrari - it's a whole different world they have factory race cars introduced every model so the old ones are all over the place for sale at 1/2 the cost of original.
