Just learned something new about my Viper: Stereo Tip.

So it's pretty funny, I've had my Viper for over a year now, and every now and then I'll learn something new about the car. In this case, there's been something that's annoyed me all this time, but today I inadvertently had a breakthrough and solved the problem.

I listen to my music via the Bluetooth connection (I know everyone says USB is better, but I've tried both and found no difference. The system sounds awesome with the Bluetooth.). Anyway, every time I would be listening to a song, and turn the car off, when I got back in, and started the car up again, it would start to play the same song, but from the very start. This drove me nuts, because as you run around town, unless you skip the song forward, you end up listening to the same song over and over again. Well, I just discovered that, if you press the pause (") button prior to shutting the car off, it will start right where you left off, not at the start again when you get back in and fire it up. Wooooooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooooooo..................... I hope this helps someone else suffering from this same annoyance. Although I suspect everyone else has already figured this out . Sometimes I'm a little slow on the uptake...... Cheers.

I'll tell ya it was a revelation. It's honestly one of the few faults I can find with this car. Now it's solved. I'm so glad to see that it might help others

Agree with above. HK upgrade was well worth the initial cost.

I may retrofit but I don't drive the car enough to justify.

Weird, I listen on bluetooth as well, and have never encountered this. It always continues right where I left off, and I don't have to hit pause before I stop the car. I listen through Spotify though, are you having this issue with another program?

The thing I noticed between Bluetooth and USB is the volume setting to have it at the same level. Bluetooth I would have to have the volume at 20 to be equal to 12 with USB for the same songs.
Another issue I came across with how iTunes on my iPhone and both Bluetooth and USB work is if iTunes is left running in the background when I return to the car (5 minutes or 2 weeks) the playlist I am listening to will continue. However if iTunes is not running in the background of the iPhone when I get in the car it defaults the very 1st song on my iPhone and is not playing a playlist.

I haven't used any other program. I'm using the default music program on my Samsung phone.
