Xtreme Super Cars Gen V Splitter

    Hi all,

I recently purchased a Front Splitter for my '13 Track Pack from Wayne and Laurelle at Xtreme Supercars. Here is my honest opinion of the product as it has been on the car for about 5 weeks, a couple of thousand miles, 6 hard track days and finally collisions with truck tire carcass and dead animal carcass (well it was alive before I hit it).

The product is well built, a combination of a fiberglass "core" with a very nicely done composite outer skin. Had it been built like the Gen 4 or Gen 5 OEM splitters I would have been picking up parts off of the road. Styling reminds me of a cross between a Gen 4 and Gen 5 Splitters. It comes complete with everything you need to install it except for directions. Its pretty intuitive as it uses the original fastener holes in the car to bolt it up. The most critical part of the install is cutting the holes in the bottom of the fascia to run the 2 center support cables from the splitter to the radiator support cross bar.

It comes with both the track extension as well as the shorter street extension out of the same black polycarb material the factory uses. My car has seen 150 on more than one occasion without a problem.

I am very satisfied with the splitter functionally and cosmetically.

    Looks really cool!
With their Xtremely broken site I find it difficult to find any more details on this product such as price, more photos, especially underneath, and close ups. Any hints?

I noticed this too. As a business owner myself, I would be going to Shopify or the like and getting a site created that customers can actually browse and buy product through.

It looks great! What rear wing are you using? Any pics of entire car? Thanks

I like it too. Now we just an aftermarket rear wing that slightly resembles the ACR wing, and us GenV guys would have a nice kit available.

I asked vendors about this and it's no easy task unfortunately. I believe the trunk needs additional reinforcement and I'm not sure it's a bolt on part

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for the positive comments. Wayne and Laurelle deserve the credit. I get to be the runway model. I forgot to add, that in the event that the track extension gets buggered up, replacements are available at a very reasonable price.

Here are a couple of pics of my car. It started out as a '13 Track pack car. It has full 2014 GTLM Livery, MCS Suspension from Woodhouse, other suspension goodies from Viper Parts USA and alignment and corner weighting from Roanoke Motors.

The Wing is a one off part from Chrysler. I know people. The pics do not do the wing size justice. 76" wide with a 12" cord. I did not want to do a ACR style wing in keeping with the overall car theme.

I am a retired USAF Aircraft Structures /Advanced Composite guy and reinforcing the deck lid was a nice project that turned out very nice.

Car looks great, where did you get your decals done? Is it something you can remove and reuse or do you pretty much leave them on? Everything works together great.

How much is the splitter set up? And agreed with others, I think Xtreme would do a lot more business with a real website. Their products are great, I own several of them.

And your car is gorgeous and BAD ASS!!!

That's an awesome wing! Can you please send it to Wayne at Xtreme Supercars so he can make a few?

    Steve,

Looks good, and I can't believe I missed this thread up until now. Can you comment on the improvement in track performance from the splitter and wing, or is there a link to a previous discussion about that? Thanks.

I cant believe it took this long for someone to do the Oreca livery on a G5. Absolutely gorgeous Steve911. More pics please if you don't mind.

I took this pic the other day after trial fitting my new Forgeline's on the car. (note the Stickers on the slicks) These are the GTD1-Viper.

I have the VE Big Brake kit on the car and they fit very well around the caliper. The wheel gaps look a bit off, as I hadn't rolled the car back and forth to settle the suspension after installing the wheels.

Looks great! Did you feel the difference of the aero at the track?

Xtreme keeps introducing these great items but it seems like they never actually go up for sale. Still waiting for the pricing for CF interior and air box lid the introduced a while ago....

I'll keep waiting, but the money is burning a hole in my pocket!

You are correct in that they do not have a conventional Store, but if you call their number and speak to Laurelle (Wayne's wife) she will answer any question and or take your order.

I do especially at the high speed tracks. I am still experimenting with the wing settings for the shorter tracks, but overall things are great.

Now that this front splitter is going into production I have another question. You wrote that the stock bumper needs to be cut, can you clarify or perhaps take a picture of the cut(s)?
