    OEM GTS adjustable shocks

Are the used ones worth anything? I have an extra set with about 1200 miles on them and the controller.

I was thinking just set them aside and one day reinstall when I sell the car but they just seem to always be in the way.....ugh.

If not worth anything I'll just store them elsewhere. At somepoint I'll croak or jump into an ACR with paddle shifters, 1100 HP and enough downforce to drive upside down

    Thanks

I have been told the base model SRT Vipers are pre wired for all the GTS and/or TA adjustable suspension.

If that is true I (as well as others) would probably be interested in your factory GTS bi mode shocks.

Do you know if the SRT models are pre wired?

From what I understand the wires are there all you need to do is install the shock, the controller, and the switch in the instrument bezel and the SRT will now have the bi mode suspension.

They are 100% pre wired. Andy at VE did a thread on that. All you would need is the dash bezel piece that has the bimode button which retail is $900. I'm sure you can get them in the $700 range.

since this is catwoods thread he should sell his first. if either of you want to buy mine, I'd sell them.

I saw your post. if someone wants a set they should go after yours. I'm in no hurry and I really posted up to see what they were worth. It was $1000 I'd keep them no brainer. at $2K....hummmm.......

If I ever sold my GTS I doubt the DE shocks would add much value to the car. But if I pulled them put the OEM shocks back on it wouldn't detract and I could sell the DE shocks for bucks.

let me know if yours sell.

The cars are prewired. I have the VE tractive suspension in my car. All you need is the controller, shocks and switch bezel. So you'd be into it for <900 bucks for the bezel, and whatever you paid for the controller and shocks. I have a thread in the DIY section on how to complete the install, and save serious time over what it took me to figure it all out, it would be the same for either suspension:

I love my tractive suspension, but it's quite a bit north of 2k.......

I agree it's worth what I paid. But the GTS suspension at the price point mentioned here might be more towards others price point.

I can respect the high dollar Tractive suspension but you are correct. While for 7k for the Tractive's and you most definitely get what you pay for but is a little more than what I want to step into.

So a factory GTS or TA shock setup would be perfect for that extra edge of performance but not going overboard with the price.

Unfortunately with me just buying the car 3 weeks ago I need to let my bank account recover before I go spending money for mods. All this talk about everyone wanting to sell shocks now may force me to pry open the wallet again.

While we are on the subject what is the difference between the TA and GTS shocks?

From what I have gathered is the shocks are the same. It's just different spring rates I think.
