Thank you High-tech Corvette for a little snip oh half mile testing!

2 weeks ago Collin and I were lucky enough to be invited to a very private event hosted by the Texas Speed Syndicate to test a runway for upcoming half mile/roll racing events. We left Austin at 4am and drove the 3.5 hours to Rockport Texas and were a little nervous about the shut down. Collin and I decided to put the car on WG and see what she would do. I was hoping for a 185-190 but...... I was wrong. First pass off the trailer 203. I also didn't realize when they said the two cones I needed to accelerate through are 60 feet apart it was a blink of an eye and went way past them. Luckily the TA brakes stopped the car without an issue (I did pucker a little as I felt my lungs start to come through my chest getting on the brakes as hard as I could at 200+). Second pass we turned it up another 3-4 lbs and went 205. I did notice that runway was a little dusty and you could hear traction control working that pass the entire way. We also saw that time I let off before the second cone Third pass we shredded the back tires, shut it down and ran a 195 and called it a day. As usual Amar and the TSS crew did a stand up job on organizing an event and we got to collect some good data. I would also like to show this is the second half mile event this car has been to in the same month and has run over 200 every pass that did not have a 195mph limiter on it due to safety regulations, the car also has about 500 street miles on it gt-r hunting and testing. Here is some video! Vipers taking over again!

Man you can really hear that TC working! Great run Calvo! I really can't wait to see this car on some fat rear tires and a 15 inch wheel. If I'm not mistaken, the less TC the computer has to do, the faster your mph will be. I won't be surprised if this car has 215+mph in it.

Nice solid traps, especially in this heat. Big difference compared to our run from last November over at Sulphur Springs.

You forgot that the injector clip popped off mid 5th gear on the first run, so it was only on 9 cylinders for the last 1/8th mile lol. Also, the 195 pass the traction control was working the entire way to 195, showing how badly the tires were worn at that point. Never got a make a run at full boost, but we will soon!
