Rare Gen II 1/18 on Amazon

Gen II red with white stripes GTS, which I have never seen

    https://www.amazon.com/Maisto-1996-D...VVFWR0MA60X38S

And the GT2 white with blue stripes that are tough to come across.

So anyone looking for these, here is your chance.

Sorry but they are not that rare. Ebay has plenty of them.

Last I had checked (few years ago) they were pretty price on eBay.

If there are lots of them out there then that is all the better. Just trying to help people find them in case they are looking.

I don't spend a lot of time hunting for models, but it seems every time i see a GT2, it's $75+ so i will happy purchase one at $25.

Cool. Glad you could snag one. I'm used to them being priced pretty highly when still boxed as well.

Can't find it now, but years ago I bought a Maisto, Gen 2 in White w/ Blue stripes (not GT2 equipped), regular GTS from Sam's club. Haven't seen one since... including the one I bought!

Search "dodge viper 1/18 maisto" on Ebay and you'll find them all, (even white/blue striped GTS) probably cheaper than amazon. I use to buy them when I was a kid, to me the most detailed Viper models were the Brookfield Collectors Guild ones. They had a fiberglass body, real rubber seats, felt carpet and seat belts. JRL R/C cars were cool and hard to come by.

I always takema swing through target but I generally have good luck at Ross or TJ Maxx. I find some good ones there cheap enough that I keep them in the car with the matchbox ones I have for giving away to kids.

I don't think they are making these gen IIs anymore so it seems like batches of them pop up from time to time. I know I won a GT2 at our Christmas party 2 years ago and one of the other members wanted to buy it from me because he hadn't been able to find it, or find it at a fair price perhaps.

That's why I said they were rare. I guess if I'm wrong about that then that's good for anyone still looking for one.
