Frankly it is my business and every other potential customer for a ACR-E. I never asked a ? about pricing I was telling the OP that Viper Exchange is not worth doing business with since they are literally screwing every customer even forum members on the pricing. I hav

Well, I had the same experience with VE, not even on an E, from Courtney and Bernie. But they have stellar reps, I tried a few times but MSRP and thy seemed uninterested, may be they were busy at the time or thought I wasn't for real, I don't hold it against them, VE does great things for our community and Andy is awesome, I hope someday I have a car wrenched by his team. Only posting to say don't take it personal, I think may be sometimes they have bigger things going or something, but I've also heard from stand up members that they've gotten a good deal from them, so it's certainly true for some, some of us just didn't get the club password. lol

I find your reply out of line. Let John decide if he wants to answer. Personally I see nothing wrong with Hova asking and a lot of us would be interested in the answer.

Oh not personal at all. I've had the pleasure of meeting Ben, Andy, Bernie and of course, the lovely Courtney on more than 1 occasion. They're awesome for this community and would love my heads/cammed new ACR to be from them. In for the password!!

Perhaps it helped that I have bought three new ACR's from Bernie and he knows that if I'm contacting him I'm buying not tire kicking. Can you imagine the amount of tire kickers they have to deal with every day? Perhaps it helped I bought mine in February not the middle of summer. But nevertheless VE has always given me great pricing on a new Viper. And the best part is no bullshitting around. If you need your hand held or to be schmoozed than there may be better dealers for that. Probably not the best idea to be trying to beat up a dealer on pricing with the "frenzy" over the special editions going on, the are probably being contacted two hundred times a day. Took me a half an hour to close the deal with Bernie.

Actually you most definitely did. - If there are other dealers giving invoice pricing what are you waiting for?

If you have the scratch, then do as planned. John G is awesome to work with and the man. You would be happy with that.

Now if scratch is considered, not a good move on the 17'. Your car now is great and will take a big hit on trade in. Not going to gain anything other than color change and that would be an insane paint cost upgrade. The Cobra is a fun car with a back seat. Need to bring a third or fourth, ain't happening in the Viper. Those Terminators will start climbing back up a bit on resale in a few years. You will regret letting it go, especially since you will not be getting much on trade in. Just my opinion though, but looking Johns way for your new car is smart.

I just sold my 13 SRT.... I may be interested in a 17 ACR @ invoice. Any dealers watching this thread feel free to chime in if they are selling at invoice.

I think the car you have is stunning. Unless you just want a second one. But I wouldn't get rid of that sexy beast you have already. Or unless having the last year is for some reason important to you. But resale wise, I don't see that making a difference. ACRs are already in their own class.

That car you have is stunning. I'd keep it.

Then why are sitting here bitching about pricing? There should already be a car in your garage and you sbouldnt care what dealers are sellkngfor.

    "literally screwing"

Well, that brings up an uncomfortable image.

I'm guessing that you must originally be from an Eastern block nation? In the US, we have what we call a capitalistic trade model. Especially on big boy toys, the buyer gets to decide on what he will pay for his toy, and then he either buys it from a specific dealer or he doesn't. What I usually do is, if a dealer won't sell a car to me at the price I want, and another will, I go to the other dealer. I have to admit that I do not use the same buying strategy when buying corn flakes. I don't shop around because the price versus my disposable income is such that I don't care. I hear that there are some Viper buyers who are not as price sensitive as me. Must be nice.

    ^^This^^

You are free to buy from any dealer you choose, failure to negotiate successfully with one in particular is no cause for the public bashing attempts. Perhaps hova00 is the one in need of some negotiating lessons....

As for heads and cams .........you still aren't taking me down the mountain

and VE sold more Vipers than dealerships #2-7 combined. yet, they are ripping everyone off. yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

Viper Exchange selling any Viper at MSRP is a rip off. If you or anyone else bought one of these cars at MSRP from them you got it without the Vaseline and anybody with half a brain knows that.

I don't have a dog in this fight but, there are two things you said that peaked my interest. First, do you have actual stats that show VE selling more Vipers than the next 6 top selling Viper dealerships combined? What time span are you talking about here?

Also, a lot of the time most people don't care if they are paying MSRP. This could also be a reason why one dealership sells more then another. Location/demographics also plays a factor. However, the biggest factor that can keep bringing people back is customer service and I know that VE is second to none in this department. They have a way of making buyers feel at home...and sort of...family.

    hova00,

I wouldn't use the words "ripping off" either and I would never presume to know how every deal goes down at VE. If people can get a better deal elsewhere, then they are free to. Personally, if I was in the market for ANY 130K+ car, let alone something as special as an ACR, I wouldn't mind paying a little extra somewhere if they had a reputation for taking care of their customers. The extra few thousand would be worth the piece of mind knowing that, if something was wrong with my car when I got it, they would be right there to help me out. Making a customer feel at home/family and taking care of them is definitely worth a little extra money IMHO.

Just trying to help any uninformed buyers out there. MSRP is not a good deal people.

Bought mine from VE couldn't be happier with the whole process.
