Will the special editions command a premium IMO, yes. Absolutely. I don't think it will be a ton though. I.E. 2 ACR Extremes and one is the special edition. Same miles, condition, etc. I could see the special addition asking 10 grand or so more. Maybe 20. Just for the cool factor if nothing else. And that amount of money is nothing to someone who wants one. Being the last of the big motor, NA cars, I could see this being when they start to rise. Maybe not Ford GT territory. But since IF the car comes back it will be different, and people may overreact and want to hold on to their cars now, I easily could see value beginning to climb. Obviously, just opinion and I could be wrong. A few years down the road, I could see these special editions going for more at auction. Especially if Dodge starts winning in racing again. Though, not enough to justify a 70k or so dealer mark up. Just look at the value of old chargers though.

In one decade the special editions will go for 1/2 mill plus at Barrett Jackson auctions. U heard it here first.

Only way that happens is if the entire market is way up in 10 years. Love Vipers , but they made a lot and too many " editions". Plus, rightly or wrongly they ended up with a final Gen that did not sell well and that many traditionalists didn't buy. Ten years from now there will likely still be many used gen 5 s on the market, and a final Ed will not be that big a deal IMO .

Hahaha. Just trying to turn my concerns/excuses into justifications/reality I guess.

Followed by "the really final edition". That car is going to be sick!

Own a few limited editions Lambo Ferrari Porsche and think the GTS - R incoming or any 17 ACR - E feels limited.

This is the end of an era like my Carrera GT - there will never be another V10 manual let alone US built.

Like the Ford GT which for some reason I keep comparing the ACR - E was way under priced. Ford GT went up a clean 100k when the new Ford GT was announced so if Viper comes back expect it to be a big price tag and bespoke like Ford's GT.

Modifying / not a seller so it's meaningless but for conversation the Viper IMO is an extremely good looking track purpose car that is going to get a lot of attention side exhaust insane wing racing stripes etc.

Stage 2 along with the other mods make it IMO as special or even more so as a last model from the exotic factories with 30 hp aero race exhaust etc.

As much as I love my other cars having American muscle that can perform on the track is going to be a hoot!

I'm going to laugh when Dodge brings back the Viper with a V10 and a stick.

Not happening. It's over this time.

I'm sure everyone who bought the 200+ at invoice plus tax is laughing.

    Nope.

Selling well does not guarantee a high collector value down the line. Sometimes flops can be worth the most.

I see them going up. Not ford GT territory. But up. And the special editions will have "curb appeal." They will probably sell faster and for a bit more but not for 3 times as much, IMO.

    Did you buy one?

I did and laughing at you guys who beat the daylight out of those who did.

Some can't piss in enough threads if the limited or 1 of 1's rise it's good for everyone - the car performs and for that reason alone it's worth owning.

You have far more patience than me

FCA built cars with sold name tags first - the dealer cars will come later and when they do they won't last long the only question is which edition and what price at or above MSRP.

When a car goes from a factory to a dealer it's sold when it goes to a customer it's titled.

Once mine arrives - only threads are going to be modification and driving threads!!!

Actually they didn't. Roanoke, Gerry Wood and Viper Exchange bought most of them. VE said they bought 52 GTSRs which is disappointing since the ones not spoken for are at adm.

Something else that's disappointing is VE's ADM in these cars considering most if not all of the other big dealers sold or are selling theirs "special editions" at MSRP or less.
