I'm in and paid. New tires, brakes, clutch, motor/transmission mounts, and that list gets absurdly too long. More than 100 miles of experience behind the wheel, so hopefully I won't be last.

Its not about coming in first or last except for Steve and Chuck its.fun and you'll learn a lot about your viper among friends. The skid pad is a blast...and gets you comfortable with controlling your viper at the same time.

It's going to be almost completely Vipers. We can probably sell out all 36 spots with Vipers if all the members hit up the PayPal payment before lunchtime tomorrow. Glad you got your payment done in time haha

In all seriousness... we have a wait list already filling WAY over the number of spots we have available... great problem to have, but Vipers and specifically VOA members will come first in sign up.

Trophies and doo-dads in the mail, have a fun and safe event.

Trivia Brag: The very FIRST Viper Club Autocross was held at a club presidents meeting at Sebring, under the auspices of Skip Barber Driving School. The lucky winner of the Team Viper Stopwatch was non other than: ME ! I really wish I coul;d be there to help instruct the Skip Pad event, etc.

Ed - what time does this start on the 6th and roughly how late will we be there? Thanks.

    Adam

  17. #42
Hi Adam - you want to get there no later than 8:45 for the initial walk-through. You can stay as late as you like; we are able to be on the track until just about 5 pm.

Wish I could make it, I'd bring the Viper (brought to LRP Saturday) but have a tennis match that day.

Hope to make a later autocross to qualify for the AXXIS runoffs and hope my fuel pump will work this year.

    Mike,
I paid them to switch your tennis match to next Sat .

Hey Everyone - if you have a chance this week and you want to think about lap times during the full course top-and-bottom... check out Harry's Lap Timer for your smartphone. We're going to get some tech-support together so that everyone who wants to use it can do so without fumbling with the phone.

Ed - which version are you recommending? There is petrolhead, Grand Prix, and rookie. Thanks

good question.... I have petrolhead but have not looked at the others.. they may have enough features to get the job done. I'll take a look tonight and let everyone know.

For us Windows Phone users Track Attack is pretty good. Will be trying it out during my work commute the remainder of this week.

    Cool - good tip Tony!

Adam - looks like any of the 3 versions will get you timing data. The more expensive versions add more integrations for video from your phone and then external cameras in addition to little tweaks. I upgraded mine over time, so if you don't plan to do video right away just grab the Rookie version.
