    Leno almost loses an arm

    Crazy video. Around 3:00

Car wasn't really properly equipped to have a passenger doing what he does. No nets, holding on to the roll cage - Leno was lucky.

    Gentile reminder about complacency.

Looks like he hit a dip on the oval and just couldn't properly stop.

Bad things can happen really quick. Glad they are both ok.

Glad they both made it out of there unharmed. Doubt that car was built to corner though.

There is a drag strip literally 200 feet away, bizarre they were on that "track" that wasn't equipped to do launches like that

That's what I don't get? Who the hell did the risk assessment for such a stunt, Stevie Wonder?

I've been to that track, its small! How the hell was that car supposed to stop in such a short distance doing a wheelie! The guy was turning while braking.
They were both Very Lucky! Real shame about the car

They took some short cuts for a TV show. Sometimes you don't make the right decision; or, you knowingly gamble and sometimes you lose.

Could you imagine the Lawsuit if someone had lost a limb or worse!

Wow. Obviously limb loss in a car hits close to home for me.

It seems like he did his best to tuck it in towards his body as it started rolling. That probably saved him damage/loss. I agree though that the car wasn't set up for what they were doing and the venue seemed an odd choice. You can never be too safe.

I honestly think people who take the doors off of jeeps are a little nuts. I get that the look is cool, but at least put tube doors on. I mean if the car gets hit from the side or falls over in traffic or off-roading, your legs are highly likely to fall out of the vehicle and get severely hurt. Obviously stuff can go bad pretty fast. Effectively instantly. Be careful out there fellas. Glad Jay Leno is ok. Hopefully people learn from this.

Yup the TV show assessment is right on. A wide open area like that makes for easy camera positioning from multiple angles. Honestly it looked like he turned the car at speed because he was running out of room. You can see the car wheel hopping as he was braking hard, luckily the only real human damage was Bob's ego. I always loved that car and still have a Hurst t-shirt of that car........... Really painful to watch.

Folks, when it all goes south, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, cross your arms and grab the harness, Jay is very lucky at least his fingers weren't crushed between the cage and the car body.
