Sounds better. Thanks.
That's a great shot! There will be 4 ACR - E's in my area all look great but seeing the white / white painted wing all it's missing is a racing number.
Anyway opinions are going to vary of course the ACR - E is going to be rough depends on what one is used to but from running around with a buddy it's no different than any other track focussed exotic. My Aero will be full on and if it breaks it breaks.

If you are DDing a Gen V Viper of any trim, more power to you. Might as well join the Lambo crowd.

ACR Extreme- Great Pic
I drive mine on the street with full track set up and it rides fine. Just ask Boba who claims to have beat me down the mountain

He had a X5 to DD already. Maybe you should read before commenting. Also, it's not just about the 3-5 seconds, the car is better in every way, looks (subjective), interior, etc etc etc. Not to mention the cool factor of having one of the last Vipers ever and the best Viper ever. IMO, one would be a fool to buy a new BMW and rack DD miles on it so it depreciates like a stone vs. an ACR that will hold its value strongly as the last and best Viper ever built. A little more to it then "derp 3-5 seconds"

Another street use question: what is front ground clearance without the extension piece installed? My GTS is 5 inches. Wondering what the difference is
I got mine today and holy shit is it low - without a doubt the lowest car i've ever had and that is out of many exotics! I did have the car setup for an aggressive road setting by Woodhouse but i'll have to speak to them in the morning to discuss raising it as the car is far too low - i'd say 2" off the ground!
Hmmm. I was hoping for at least 3 inches in front clearance. I think the regular factory setting is a bit higher as I read that it comes set somewhere in the middle. Pretty sure I read that somewhere but without any numbers. My driveway is steep but I can angle my GTS so it doesn't scrape. Those two flaps catch a bit but that's it.
In track config The car has 4 inches front clearance to the frame rail. I want to say I got my tape measure out the other day and it was over 3 inches to the front splitter with the track set up. As delivered, my car had plenty of clearance, far better than my GT3, which I scrape every time I leave my driveway
Awesome!!! I left it stock as I have a steep, steep ramp into my building, and I clear just fine. Have not scraped it yet. Did go airborne a little off the seat when I hit an unexpected bump and it nicked the pad barely. How do you like it?! It's 4 inches stock I believe. No issue in roll curbs or steep inclines into places. Factory setting are tight as I can tell for street. You cannot even get close to the potential on public roadways.
I bought a 98' Viper for an investment. Yes the car will appreciate and I did buy it right. You make blanket statements about things. This is America, if I want to have the baddest street legal race car, I can. #murica Leave it alone already. You're not changing any hearts and minds. All of us Gen V ACR Owners seem to genuinely love the car. Not sure what your problem is, but you can stop acting like the end all be all car guy. Do you even own a Gen V ACR?
With the factory settings full aero installed.
That looks pretty good but what that picture shows is that you lose almost 2 inches that you normally have from the curve of the bottom of the fascia plus the there is a longer distance to travel before the front wheels begin to start up an incline. How are you guys who have them and store them on a 4 post lift managing with the ramps ? I was also wondering what the height of the rear wing is as it looks like I might have to move the tracks of my garage door up a few inches to sit right up against the ceiling.

I have a BendPak 9XW and bought the extended aluminum ramps... my ACR is backed on... tons of clearance... I do not have any of the extreme Aero installed however...
The ground clearance is basically the same whether you have the Extreme splitter on or the "regular" splitter as they attach the same way, bolted underneath the CF splitter itself. BUT...the projection of the Extreme splitter makes a big difference as it changes the angle from the front tires to splitter edge dramatically.
OMG, thank you, I've been asking for this info for like a year, lol. Thank you!
So my GT500 splitter is at 4.5", and I've never had an issue and I drive that everywhere. So to me, this isn't bad, like a 1/4" difference, but I wonder if without the extension the viper might even have a better approach angle. I can eve drive that right on my lift, either as is, or we're talking like a plywood sheet worth of ramp assist, cool. Thank you again!
