Totally disagree Racingwh. You wanna have a rough ride, drive a Suderia. I think my ACR is 1000x more compliant, handling bumps and dips...

Not surprising this thread went to shit after this debacle by the same guy; http://driveviper.com/forums/threads...t=conditioning
He seems bent on convincing people the car us UNstreetable despite many owners contrary experience.
What is the replacement cost for the front extension, dive planes and the rear difuser ?
Come on guys settle down. No one here needs to be talked to like some of the above responses.
If you are ordering a Viper and you're not sure about which model is suitable for you. I suggest finding your local VOA chapter. Call or email the regional President, most will know which members have the Viper you are interested in. Usually members are totally willing to give you a ride and talk about their Viper
^ Nice pic
I priced the three wear pads that the front diffuser attaches to as they will get scuffed as I will drive with the splitter off on the road. Was over $1000. Sad face. should have known. I hit a lip on the highway that somehow buckled and I hit my head on the roof going about 65-70. Oops. Don't know if it was the ACR or Viper but it is stiffer that the GT, but not really that noticeable.
I bought it to have the baddest and it will be mostly street and show use, but I will track it. Hopefully I can get another one before they close the plant down. I think it is a piece of automotive history as well.
I'm with ACR on this, whats the point of getting an ACR if you arent going to track it? I mean street driving is cool and i'd do the same thing, but why not run it where its intended to run? Id understand if there wasnt any tracks near by.
On the same token of buying the car for what ever you please, why not be different and put a lift kit + awd conversion and have a Viper ACR that is capable of going off road maybe rock crawling?
Haha. Do you know what's in my stable? It's not just a 2016 ACR... People ask you respond with your opinion. That's how forums work. The car is harsh and loud. It doesn't take much wisdom to understand with twice the spring rate, reduced insulation, etc. As far as the other thread, 08 ACR with M4 for daily Vs 16 ACR, one has to be a fool to choose just the 16 for what 3-5 seconds on a track that 99% of the population will never be able to extract? Maybe you should use some common sense before commenting

Some of you really need to chill out. Only the buyer of the car truly determines how the car is going to be used.
OP. I bought my ACR-E mainly for street (will see the track soon however) use and love every second of it. My car is at factory settings and does have the added aero installed. I am a very spirited driver and ONLY use this car for pleasure. In no way would I ever imagine dd'ing a car like this for several reasons. I do agree that the car is unfriendly in many ways but what are we talking about here? Like someone else said, you just have to know how to drive a low car. I came out of a 14 TA and will say this car to me is much stiffer. I haven't one regret on buying this car and will say that it is truly for the hardcore, street or track.
OK IM lying, but it sure was fun chasing him!!
The OP never asked about DD'ing the car....where did that come from? Bottom line is every guy here with one says it's fine on the street, no different really than the TA and has no trouble driving it around....except one lightweight who apparently uses his for panty shopping.
That ought to get the thread locked....Lmaoooo
Asking if it is a harsh ride is like asking someone what the best flavor ice cream is.
Which is obviously cookie dough
Lolz. Regarding street use, what is appropriate tire pressure? What psi does the car come with? Did I read the owners manual correctly in that 51 psi is proper? Can't be
