I Just Figure My Base ACR ,Is a T/A 2.0 , On Steroids , LOL !!! With Now A Killer Suspension

Also own a GTS and had a T/A. I am shocked at the ride quality of the ACR. As someone else mentioned, you can barely tell the difference in ride quality between a non-ACR and an ACR with the factory "soft" settings. I was expecting the car to feel stiffer and be noticeably different from my GTS, but it is negligible. I'm sure this changes when you tinker with the suspension config, but I could drive this car all day long on the street without getting beat up in the "soft" config.

Lots of bad behavior here. I have had my ACRE for 4 months and it can definitely be used on the street with no difficulties. It has most expected amenities, good HVAC, has been totally reliable, and clearance is fine, even to a limited extent at track ride height. I've got over 1500 street miles, including a 500 mile road trip.
That said, you have to be a bit wacky to use it a lot on the street. The ride is extremely rough and you sit close to the rear axle line with 1300 lb/in spring rate. I've felt and heard my briefcase get airborne and bang around back over highway pavement undulations on our crappy DFW roads. I worry about bending front wheels on potholes due to 25 section width tires. My Lotus Elise is frankly more comfortable to drive on the street. What I am saying is you have to be hard core and I suspect no one would have an ACRE as an only car or seriously DD it.
And I know some folks are buying these with the intent to NOT use them on track and as a trophy of some kind. To each their own, but that's like buying the Derby winner and using it to give pony rides at birthday parties.

That about sums it up.
Nothing wrong with trophies. This thing is by definition extreme and I wouldn't fault a collector for example picking one up and adding it to a collection. We all know what it's made for and capable of with those track records. I know how well my GTS performed on the track and actually tracked with an ACR-E my last track day. Let's just say it was in its natural habitat. Ha. But I noticed how he didn't trailer it there. He drove his street legal race car to the race track because well, it's street legal. So nothing wrong with op's questions about street drive ability. Frankly I have the same questions. And appreciate the honest answers given by owners. Front clearance in my driveway and wear rating of those race tires are way up there on the question list. I think I also read somewhere that Gen IV ACR shocks were different from the regular model and more prone to leak. Are these the same shocks in the V?
This car hit a lot of bumps in the road, pun intended. Five model years of drama. I'll admit to having a love hate relationship with my 13. However, going out on top with this thing is pretty epic. The car is going in the hisssstory books. Like it or not the thing has the potential to be very collectible down the line in the future. I think every special edition Ive seen them release here truly is "special" in their own way. Pretty cool how a Dodge ended up being like 500% more exclusive and rare than ferrari and Lamborghini. And with more horsepower.
Another question about the extreme aero extensions: I know the front splitter extension piece comes in a bag. Frankly I'd probably never install it personally. But with regard to the rear diffuser addition, does it come installed or no?
Rear is not installed
Not trying to step on any toes, but I'd venture to guess that the bulk of the people who say the ACR isn't streetable are people who have never driven an ACR on the street. I don't daily drive mine, but it is used exclusively on the street (1,400 miles). I have zero complaints about driving it on the street, and it drives exactly how a sports car should. Except for large bumps, I don't even notice the spring rates due to the exceptional suspension tuning. My biggest concern is where to park it safely, and making sure I don't pick my nose while someone is taking cell phone video.
Full disclosure: My car is at delivery ride height and none of the Extreme add-ons are installed.
Obviously different folks have different priorities regarding comfort, but I have driven my ACR-E 1700 miles in two months including a 700-mile trip in 118 degree weather, and it has been fine. Oil and water temps stay below 200 degrees and the air conditioner is fine. I listen to county and western, so the 3 speakers are 2 speakers over-kill. The only time I notice the suspension stiffness is when I hit a sharp bump (bridge seam, cattle guard, etc.). I built "gutter jumpers" that I carry in the back hatch to get across roll curbs (common in AZ and NV) to get in and out of the driveway - a little bit of a pain. Noise levels are acceptable except between 2100-2400 RPM (infamous drone) with the windows up, so I just select a higher or lower gear when cruising for long distances to move out of that range. I have more comfortable cars/trucks, but I can assure you the Viper is way more comfortable than my dually or my no air/no PS/antique suspension 62 Corvette parts chaser. The ACR won't be my DD, but it is comfortable enough that I am not concerned about using it on the street.

I like the pony rides at birthday party line. Look, same is true about the GT3 RS as well.
Great info. Another question: is it settled now that the ACR-E light weight battery is compatible with Deltran tender plus?
This thread delivers.
Here's another thread with some excellent feedback about the ACR's street manners, and comparing them to the TA...

Garbage. I have driven on the street twice. Drove it home from the track yesterday. Makes me laugh out loud at how horrible it is. To be fair much of that is the condition of the roads and because of their terrible condition I drive cars I care about on them as little as possible.
