It works with both but you won't be able to move the seat back and forth, but with the power seat you can still move it up and down.

I have both but I guess I never tried the up and down on my manual seat.

Up and down still works on mine but its a tight fit to operate the handle.

I am 6' 4" and just installed a seat lowering kit in my car with the manual seat. I sit nice and low now and love it!

But as donk_316 said the up/down handle is a tight fit but it's a non issue for me as I am the only person who drives the car so no reason to adjust it.
