Color/miles/stripes? Price? The sought after cars are mostly gts/acr cars with factory stripes.

A classified ad allows Non-Members to advertise in exactly that: our classified area. Only VOA Members may advertise in the forums (and link a forum thread/post to their classified ad).

I'm not arguing the rule, just stating it. Forum advertising is an exclusive benefit of VOA Membership.

$38,900 is about $10k too high for a 95' with that mileage even in pristine condition. The most I would expect it might sell for would be $30-32k.

I enjoy the feed back, all kinds, as you noted not a member, but had to pay to place the ad. You see everyone wants the $$$$$. asking 38,900 a little high,

I have seen them from 29-to 55. I am not greedy, just be fair. Mileage, 27,795 near 28,000 for a 21 yr old car!!!! I bought the car to enjoy it, drive it have FUN !,

Not much Fun looking at it sitting in the garage!!. are you going to drive it or park it?? anyway, it is stamped " last 300 side exhaust" that has to be worth something also.

It is Black in color only 518 were made Black color in 95 and only about 1418 total were made for USA sales 300 or so for overseas sales. Limited production numbers.

So look at the pictures of my car and make a serious Offer !!!! See the stripes, wheels, Hardtop too, Keep the feed back coming 2017 is the last year of the Viper !!!

First generation prices should climb , so no hurry to sell, there will be people selling Gen V vipers.!!!

Look around on sites like Ebay and Autotrader. Your price is at least $5K too high vs other gen 1s. Why would they negotiate with you when then can just go buy a cheaper one (if the condition is the same). You may sell it at your asking price, but it'll take a while. In the Viper world 1 of 300 is not very unique. GLWS

I've got a '95, great condition, all stock, a/c works when it has freon but unfortunately it has a leak.. I just turned 21k miles and am the original owner also had all fluids changed, head gasket issues taken care of brand new tires because they were going on 10 years old, never been to the track as you stated but I know it's not worth $39k. I was thinking mine might be worth $29k maybe $30k top... parts getting hard to find so I have thought about selling it but I really like it and I like the way it looks.

Anyone looking for a Gen1 of investment quality will be turned off by the mods made. Painted rims; the interior has been redone; Stripes on the fender; sports cap has been repainted. If someone wants to make original, they'll have to spend some time and money to do it. Not saying anything is wrong with what's been done, but for top dollar I believe it has to be stock. That being said with mileage and all, I agree with Atari....10K to high. JMHO

Honestly your mileage isn't high. Here's my opinion, since your asking...... I've never wanted that car, but if I wanted one, one of the last 300 would be cool. With that in mind, yes I'd like the lowest mileage car that was absolutely bone stock. I might pay close to what your asking for an unmolested example. Why, because I have no desire to drive that car, so it would be for collective purposes only. Your car which has been modded to your taste will likely appeal to someone whose younger and enjoys the "current flavor of modding you've done". Most younger buyers with real money, say 40 k cash would likely put the cash down on a newer Viper. A used Viper of this vintage is a cash buyer, no ones going to loan you 40 k for that car. Lower the price and the appropriate demographic will show up. The fact that you've got a bunch of boat guys wanting to trade proves my point. They all live at home and own a boat. When I was in my twenties that was very common. They've got a truck with payments, and a boat, but zero cash.

Market is telling you it's not priced right. Lots of alternatives in mid-upper $20's. If I was looking for a G1, I wouldn't call on your's at $38,900, not realistically priced

Pricing a car is extremely difficult. Very tough balancing task, while you need to price it such that you get the money that you need for it, you must also price it so that it is attractive enough for prospective buyers to be interested. The buyer needs to believe that they can own the car for something close to your asking price. Many buyers are shy when it comes to negotiations. You could possibly decide, what is the lowest possible price you might accept for the car, price it at that price and mark it FIRM. Two things happen, the buyer knows exactly what it takes to own that car, and you get it sold for the money you need.

If you price it too high, buyers may feel you are out of touch with the market and have no idea about how to gauge condition as well as price. If the asking price is that far off the market value then how bad might the car be? If you are considering re-listing the car at a reduced price, you will also need to re-photograph the car. Create a different looking listing all together. If you just lower the price, prospective buyers will NOT react, only to wait to see if you lower the price even more! A different looking listing with both different pictures and price will entice shoppers to look at you ad, and contact you.

Good luck with the sale of your car. If it was easy, everyone would be a car dealer. That's what makes a professional dealer worth what they earn.

In often takes 2-3 months to sell a Viper ( normal situation and has been for 20+ years ), but your biggest hurdle is age. Most folks interested in a Gen 1 are looking for their first Viper , and the hurdle they often encounter are Banks who will not finance the vehicle and frankly the guides will not validate the pricing you are asking - and even with good credit the few Banks that will consider will go there first to establish their risk.

It will take time and frankly your price will be competing with many Gen IIs and Gen IIIs and that has a lot to do with your situation.

OK, so you disagree with this rule? But what's with the sarcastic attitude? There are 38 region presidents and officers that voted (a few months ago) in favor of charging a small fee for Non-VOA member advertising in our classified area. The "Only VOA Members may advertise in the forums" was a forum policy from the get go. As a VOA member, you should appreciate benefits of membership.

Matt, no offense , but you have a Viper and why aren't you a member? Like almost every Forum in existence there are benefits for members, and this Forum is way more open to folks than the majority. Joining a Forum , as a guest , which is what an enthusiast is considered, should not entitle one to all the privileges of membership. We have enough entitlement in this Country , in my opinion , as it is. Moderators have a tough job, and in many cases they are just upholding rules that the Board and Presidents have already voted on. Pretty much a thankless job, and Scott does it out of love for the Club. Forums go through Moderators like water, and Scott has taken the abuse and kept at it for a long time.

The OP posted the same thread over at the VCA.

Unfortunately the OP paid membership dues to the now bankrupt Viper Club of America.
