Looks great. I've always been a fan of that look. Would have bought a Vert if they came like that.

I love this conversion, great looking car! I am just down the road in Buffalo, hopefully I will see it in person sometime at a meet.

Vipair had developed a hardtop/hatch conversion for the Roadster that kept the factory quarters and rear bumper....just replacing the top and decklid....making a unique "coupe". There were pictures on the internet four years ago, now none. Anyone know if there is anywhere to buy that conversion kit? I prefer the Vert rear end (although the coupe rear end IS cool) but want a hatch and hard top......

Um, good luck. I HIGHLY doubt you will be able to find one or that there was ever one to buy besides a photoshopped pic or a prototype. Best of luck though. Maybe try the Facebook oage too so you can reach as many people as possible. That will increase your odds of finding one.

I'm doing a roadster coupe rear mod. I am splicing the back half of a coupe hatch to the front half of a vert deck. What is left from my vert deck could be used to finish that custom coupe. Really, a roof and hatch, roll hoop, headliner, and minor interior pieces would be all needed to convert a vert over.

Is that a stock Coupe roof? If it is, I think you are right!

Anyone know who owns the white prototype that I could come see it?

The main issue to deal with would be the difference between the Roadster window shape and position cross car and the window cut of the Coupe. If you look closely at the image you can see the stepped black painted area were the Convertible window doesn't fit the Coupe window cut line...making the seal condition work...and look good would be tough. Here is a picture of a Coupe roof skin right out of my mold...on top of one of our Flat top hard tops...you can see the difference.

Hatch glass would be tough and tricky as well...crazy seals, rain trough with drains on the deck lid. would need to hinge the hatch glass...so, support were the roll hoops are...could be done with one of our roll bars for a coupe which has the hatch glass tabs on right out of our fixture.
But anything is possible...with the right parts and time/money.
A one-off would be easy...repeating it would be tougher. Send me your car...I'll make it happen

I've always struggled with window on the SRT Converts...first couple are concpt drawings and a mock up from 2003...which I think is quite like the current GenV look...sort of.

I created a specially designed rear latch mechanism that is attached to the top (one on each side) They actually fit into the soft-top mechanism for latching. They are adjustable in and out as well as up and down we preset them here at AF using a fixture and are usually ready to go when the top arrives. The same mounting and water shed system is used on all our or SRT Tops.
