Have a few thoughts on spec - waiting for the order bank to open.
There was a picture of a matte grey with grey stripes can't remember which thread it was in.

are you in canada?
I need the VIN off that ACRE... 3 cars painted that color in 2016
I think that beautiful factory metallic Jeep Green with Brass Money wheels, black center band and brass money driver strip would look killer on an ACR-E if that is a consideration.
My car is grigio medio... LAbrit car is grigio medio... and that other ACR with the white stripe is something too but i havent confirmed.
Do the matte grey with dark grey stripes.
As an aside...the Ferrari TDF is Godly
Keep in mind colors of other Manufacturers are proprietary and ones that are offered under the One of One program are under the Akzo Nobel paint combinations -- Chrysler contracted company. We have done an unbelievable number of GTCs , but the colors have to be close , they will not be exact if from another manufacturer's source.
View this rationally , if McClaren contracts with PPG for an exclusive color, FCA will not do said color ( frankly they can't as they don't have the rights to that PPG color ) and can only do something similar. If this does not make sense , just think Legal and that should put a nail in the coffin.
Prefix has been wonderful to work with and we have viewed a lot of alternatives together and many of you will see some stunning machines coming out in the coming months and in 2017. With the advent of different stripe colors buyers have pulled out all the stops and some combinations will startle some , but they are vivid and in your face ,just like the car is!!!
Thats true Bill. I ran into that issue when i wanted Grigio Telesto originally. Prefix couldnt do it. They could only do their version of it.
The 17 ordering banks are open. Approx 90 cars already order was the last numbers I knew. Not sure who is telling you they aren't open
Actually they opened during NVE2-- which was interesting since most of us were in New Orleans and that was not conducive for ordering vehicles.
Gonna be a merry Christmas in your house!
They start 3 builds per day and sell 40 cars per month historically. Now with a wave of special editions who knows. One year ago ACR-E cars for two friends both of whom ordered from tomball got delivery between 90 and 120 days from placing the order. The orders were placed at this time of year.
Getting delivery with snow on the ground would blow epically.
damn last GTS-R got ordered within he last hour.
No concerns at present, but that will be something those of us with large allocations will need to keep abreast of, since the Limited models have all been spoken for by Dealers. You , the consumer , will likely direct the events over the next months. We seem to be getting a lot of folks doing one of ones who have never had a Viper , but believe this is the end of an era ( I have to agree ) and want one of the last monster motor performance machines.
Can tell you that they are not geared up to do anywhere near 3000 vehicles. Don't have production numbers for 2017, but common sense says they can not gear up suppliers , or train new employees , if demand stays high, when the vehicle is being discontinued. Unique production situation, so I would be surprised if they have the true capacity to build more than 500-800 a year. Again, I have no absolute knowledge, just using a bit of common sense about what occurs with suppliers and plant projections with any company. Won't surprise me if it is a complete sellout , as the non Viper owners are heavily in the fray this time around.
I would not want to wager on when production will end, when 1 of 1 orders will close, production quantities, how and when they will handle production of the anniversary editions, etc. There are a lot of variables and unknowns and no guarantees. If anyone is serious about placing a GTC order I would do so as soon as financially viable given a 4+ month delivery time. Certainly there will be some cars available at various dealerships, which may or may not be exactly what you are looking for.
Good comment Doug, and it hits on the uncertainty we are all feeling to a degree.
Most initial ACRs were done in 90 to 120 days, ( ordered this time last year) as they were standard ACR orders, but the 1 of 1s started later and have historically taken over 4 months. We got 5 of our initial ACR orders ( standard and extreme ) in that time frame, but Dealers have been seeing the GTCs take longer and it is likely with orders already in for 2017 1 of 1s , and then the Limited Models, the time frame is likely to be extended?!
