    Need TPS?

Purchasing an extra set of wheels and tires for the track. Is it necessary to have a TPS sensor installed in them. Other than the dashboard light coming on. I regularly check my air pressure before I drive my car. Just wasn't sure if it would cause any other issues. The TPS in my current tires has never worked since the dealer installed new ones last time they put tires on it.

Not sure how the Viper reacts to no TPMS yet (I only own mine for a few weeks), but in my old C6 Z06's (06 &09) when I'd swap to track wheels, if I forgot to reset the TPMS before going out on track, the car would go into limp mode and wouldn't allow the car to go over 40 mph and would apply the brakes all over the track.

The Vettes don't relearn the TPMS on their own, as I've been told the Viper does...

2 knowledgeable guys on here have both told me the Viper relearns them by itself. I haven't had a chance to test this theory out as of yet.
