It's because it's an exotic looking car that happens to have much of the good looks of the TA1.0 Okay, okay, just kidding....nothing to do with being a TA at all.

So many ask what kind of car my TA is that I know the appeal isn't because they recognize it as a Viper but because it's an exciting looking car that grabbed their attention. When you say it's a Viper there is often name recognition , and increased interest maybe, but it's mostly the overall look of the car rather than the particular model of Viper from my experience.

I was coming out of our local Home Hardware last summer. It's located on the hwy and is about 1/2 a km out of where the town really starts, so I decided to put my foot into it through 1st and 2nd gear before starting to slow down. As I entered the town a cop was on the other side of the hwy and through his lights on. He walked up to my car and told me he clocked me at a little over 120 km/hr back there, and unfortunately it's a 60 km/hr zone. So basically he had me doing over double the speed limit. Here in Canada, once you are over 40 km/hr over the speed limit in several provinces, including mine, they impound your car for a week. You have to pay the tow, the storage for a week, the ticket, and the increase in your insurance............ brutal. Anyway, he says, "You know I can impound your car eh?". And I acknowledged him, so he goes back to his car to run my name through the database etc. He walks back up to the car, hands me back my license and registration, and says, "If I had a car like this, I'd be doing the exact same thing. Just slow it down a bit ok?" I was blown away!!! I said "Absolutely, thanx." Sometimes it pays to have a cool car................ I bought my Redline radar detector the next day. It's saved me a few times since..........

Word. Love the blue... I have blue envy for sure... The totally cool thing about it is I don't see other super cars (or other cars) that color ever. Wife said no to the fin, otherwise I would have a 2.0 blue

99% of people don't know the difference between a gen 2 and gen 5. People think my 96 GTS is a new viper lol B/W gets rock star attention everywhere it goes.

Color is a huge factor. My friend has a GTR and it was white
and boring and he barely got any attention in it. He wrapped the whole
Car in chrome blue and now he gets an insane amount of attention.
Color is important and certain blues just pop in the sun.

I nave never seen a GTR that I would give a second look. Not a good looking car IMO.
