    Is it because it's a Gen V or Because it's a TA2

I had a Gen 3 and from time to time people would ask if they can take pictures of the car. The car I have now I can't take many places without three to four times the picture requests and a whole series of questions. Happily more than 50% know what the car is, but is the attraction mainly because it's a great looking Gen V or because it's a TA2.

    It's because it's a Viper.

    It's the center caps...

Same here and I don't have the wing. I imagine that wing makes your car stand out a bit more though....

I stopped in Harlem one time to get gas. I did not think I was going to be able to get out of the station.

Folks take pics here in Dallas, but in the midwest and the south, its damn near like the paparazzi show up at every stop.

Put stupid ass stickers on it and people go berserk.

    Ed,

Its both, but mainly the wing. When both of us were at the track and our Vipers were parked side by side, I noticed more people were admiring your Viper than mine...thus why I am getting one with a bigger spoiler/wing...bigger is always better right?

Mine is like a celebrity too.

Sometimes at intersections its like traffic just stops to look at the car.

The thing i like the most is when people are behind me at a light and they always point and smile at the Stryker 3rd brake light! I can read their lips... "whoa a Viper!"

    It's because of:

    1. Viper
    2. Aero
    3. Color

Then when you pop the hood, people rush the car to look at the beautifully displayed motor, but suddenly start drooling at the carbon fiber X brace.

I agree, people could care less what gen or model, all that matters is that it is a Viper.

My Gen II got attention, but it was NOTHING compared to what my Gen V gets. Maybe it's color (old one was red, new one is yellow), but I think it's just a sexier looking car. I really can't drive a mile without seeing the back of 2-3 cell phones.

When I first got my car, everyone was checking it out in my town. Now they purposely look away, or stare straight ahead to show their "disinterest", and mask their envy. Our town is a summer-time vacation destination, and I can always tell who the out of towners are because they're taking pics and pointing like crazy. It's pretty funny.

Even with all the snobs around in their AMGs and Bentley around here, the ol American built Viper still gets its picture taken at every light. Even had a Cop tell me how nice it was this Sunday; that's a first in the 40-50 times I've been pulled over.

I've had it for eight weeks. It's my second viper, I've already put 4000 miles on it. To say I enjoy driving it is an understatement. I was fortunate that this car came available two days after I sold my Gen 3.

Maybe it's the way it's worded but it sounds a bit condescending to other Gen V's by stating "Vs the TA 2.0." Personally, I think only Viper enthusiasts know what a TA is. I would imagine Viper enthusiasts to like your viper over say a "plain" Gen V as enthusiasts are more likely to think the aero is cool because it's functional. The general car driving community typically think big wings are cheesy and therefore I would think the regular car enjoying community would find the "plain" viper more aesthetic. Coming from a Gen III is a huge step from an aesthetics standpoint as it's arguably the least aesthetic generation among the Viper enthusiasts. I came from a Gen II ACR to the Gen V and I got roughly equal appreciation. I think I get more pictures and comments because it's a Venon Black Gen V with the black sidewinder II wheels which just gives it a menacing appearance compared to my solid red 2000 ACR. Bottom line is the overall attention you are getting is not coming from the viper community but the general public and it's just an attractive car all around; wing and all. I would say if you didn't have a TA 2.0 you would get slightly less attention at your local cars and coffee and that's about it. Well at least that's my assessment anyway.

I love my Gen II, BUT COME ON, it's not a Gen V! The Gen V is the perfect Viper, it's a beautiful update on the II coupled with that great color. Who could help themselves and not stare. I flew into Phoenix a couple of weeks ago, Bondurant has a Gen V ACR-E sitting in the Baggage Claim area. I was couldn't take my eyes off of that thing!
