    NY/CT 2014 Planning Meeting

First on behalf of Chuck, Mike and Ed I'd like to wish everyone happy new year! The NY/CT region is starting out strong this new year and we'd like to thank all of you for helping make it happen. Secondly, we're scheduling our 2014 events/planning meeting for sometime in February. Date/Time/Location will be announced shortly. We're looking for volunteers for the NY/CT region. We can use help with the website, newsletter, events, merchandise, etc. If you'd like to help in these areas or would like to contribute some ideas you're welcome to do so. Please let us know if you're interested in helping. We have a fun bunch of folks to work with. Please let us know if you can help!

Events: We're always looking for inputs/ideas into our events calendar. Submit those ideas!

I'll publish planning meeting details soon.

    Thanks,
    Tony

Tony, you know I'm interested in helping in any way I can...just let me know what you need to be done! Also just a thought, but maybe we can take pictures of all the cars at the events this year and create a calendar to sell or give to rejoining members for 2015 for the NY/CT region since it would be our cars in the calendar.

Derek you're a mind reader. There will be a NY/CT calendar for 2014 with pics from our past events. We had one in the works for 2013 but too much time passed by. We have the pics, the calendar and it's just a matter of getting it to the printer with our event dates on it. The planning meeting is tentatively scheduled for 2/23 at Tator's Garage.

Hey Tony, I'm in the Orange County Area and would love to Volunteer some time. I suggested in the merchandise section about maybe having a tee shirt design contest but never heard anything back. If you guys are interested I'd spend more time researching and putting it together.
    Thanks,
    Mike

Grave Digger? OK....I'm dying to know what's behind that screen name. T-shirt contest sounds like a fun idea. With so much going on with the VOA getting up and running the idea is not ignored just down on the immediate priority list. However, NY/CT needs merchandise designed. We'd love your input into some NY/CT swag.

ha ha, It's actually a handle I've used for a long time. I gotta be honest it's a name that keeps everyone wondering, I've heard everything from the monster truck, my career, even a hobby, that's right a hobby. I gather I go out in the middle of the night robbing graves or something. With that said everyone is wrong it's actually a song that started it for me, Secrets out I guess.
Tony I totally understand it not being priority. I really give it to everyone getting the VOA up and running. You all have done an amazing job at turning this around. I joined last year and was really disgusted with the way things where. It seems the attitude and atmosphere is totally different, and makes me proud to be apart of it. I have some experience in the merchandise field and would love to help. I just need to know some info about licensing and I can start throwing ideas out. Me personally I'd love to see a shirt that represents the new, and the old. Here is an example of a contest I found online of a car clubs shirt. http://99designs.com/t-shirt-design/...rovided-144339

Another idea is custom pewter keychains. We can keeps these made in the USA and have something to be proud of. http://www.atdesigns.com/KeyTags/default.aspx

Tony, I am willing to help out and volunteer some time. I am here in central CT. so you can have someone out this way.

T-shirt contest will be cool. I already played around with some ideas on the original t-shirt thread and I'm ready to play some more.

Digger, Key chains would be great.

Excellent! I'm in central CT too. We decided to hold the meeting at Tator's Garage on Sunday 2/23 starting at 10am. I heard rumors that Deviled Eggs may be on premises. Will post more details as the meeting date nears.

I am free that date. I will mark my calender now to reserve it.

Tony. I think I saw you getting off the highway in the area late last season. There aren't too many Vipers out in this area. Lol. Especially yellow ones.

I know I am not an owner or member but if you are interested in doing a matchbox with your logos I'd be more than willing to help. I have done at least a dozen promos with a tampo printing company and they do some great work. Here are a few I have been involved with...

But for more money more intricate designs can be had like this one (I was not involved with this one just using as an example)
