Not sure how many exhaust systems you have installed but you know you install all parts loose then slowly tighten up each area before you hard torque any single part of it. Makes a huge difference.

You want the o2 in the collector. That is the best place.

I put NOS Edelbrocks on mine and new Woodhouse mounts. Headers fit great but the pre cat tube on the passenger side was a little off. Not a big deal so we just made it work between factory tube and the tube from the Edelbrock set. They should be real close though. Time and flex will shift some things. Should never cut the car to fit. That is India design stuff.
I have worked on many many cars, tighter clearances and fitment than this car. I can tell you with a degree of certainty, they do not even come close to fitting the tubes in the spots they are supposed to fit, never mind tightening up the bolts..lol Nothing to do with a sagging motor mount here or there..Definitely not foe a Gen II I can tell you that with a degree of 100% certainty. Here is a picture of tube #1, smack into the frame, not even close..

I installed OEM engine mounts supplied by PartsRack when I installed my M&M headers. I had to shim the driver's side engine mount by a 3 millimetres shim. The M& M collector pipe clears perfect the sill opening. However, I did not like the way the engine rattles with the rubber isolation mounts, so I made solid mounts from my old engine mounts by welding a metal plate and encasing the upper and lower steel plates of the mounts. It worked a treat.

I have solid engine mounts which are basically OEM mounts welded around and the feedback from the engine is superb. If you worry about this, many Viper connoisseurs have cleared this modification prior to the installation.

Tube #1 only? Are those some home grown barn engineered headers? While your original picture in the post looked like they were all connected like a proper packaged header system. What you are showing is looks much different hence I retract my original statement. I would just buy a proper set of USA headers from a reputable company and call it good. What you have pictured here looks like some's wet dream gone bad.

None of the tubes fit in the locations they were supposed to and I even switched them around to be sure. The assembled fine on the bench and looked great, however they did not coperate with the engine bay of the Gen 2 viper at all. Like not even in the ball park... The look like they may be for a Gen 3 or 4 or for a full tube chassis race car where the frame clearance is a non issue.

Yep, I would chalk that up to a "never do that again" life experience.
