Thanks to all who came and enjoyed out 11th Tail of the Dragon. With over 50 cars registered we had quite a show in the parade on Saturday night - in the rain. Thanks to the Carolina Chapter for again being our partners in this event. Special thanks to Tim and Shirley Morrison who help so much with this event and without whose help we couldn't do it. We're already thinking about next year and how to make it better. Pictures when I find my camera.

Pictures of YOUR car you can purchase at several places,
so remember to go to: http://www.129photos.com/ and www.killboy.com/find-your-photos/ and moonshinephoto.blogspot.com/ and there are several others (nope, i have no vested interest in any of them!). Don't forget to search for Cherohala Skyway pictures of your car also.

I would like to give a big thanks to everyone for such a great time this weekend! Coming down from Canada, we didn't know what to expect from this weekend, especially not knowing anyone. Receiving such a warm welcome from everyone and making us feel like we are part of the family was beyond our expectations. The Tale of the Dragon was such an amazing experience and if you haven't driven on this road and/or the surrounding area, I highly recommend placing this on your bucket list.

    Paolo,

It was great meeting you guys last weekend, glad you made it home safely. What a drive, all the way from Ontario, just to spend some time with fellow Viper owners, hope you guys can make it next year, as it was awesome seeing 50 plus Vipers going down the streets of Gatlinburg, it is all that much better see all most three times as many like we did last year. Hope you guys can join us next year.

    Jeff

Most of the Vipers in the Parade had probably never been in the rain before.

If they hadn't been in the rain by Saturday night, they got a real chance on Sunday!

Awesome shots! Looks like you guys had a great time!

I've got to do this with the Viper world one year. I head up to the area yearly, for the most part, with a local car club I am a member of. We hit the Dragon and the surrounding area every other year for a week and we pass through on the other years as part of another route. We do our trip on the first week of October. This year we are doing a loop through New Orleans and up through Memphis, Chattanooga and back down through Alabama. We'll find some road in southern Tennessee for certain!

In any event... I have to make it up with you guys next time. I love the area and checking out a ton of Vipers won't hurt. I am sure giving the Chevy's some grief will be fun too.... :-)
