Now THAT was a surprising read. Two editors picked the Viper, amazing. It seems people are finally coming around, overcoming previous perceptions and looking at the car with an open mind. The Viper is certainly a niche sports car, but an absolutely exceptional one at that. It's beautiful curves and how beautifully it handles the curves, LOL

I think the tide is finally turning on the car.

Best kept secret in performance cars there is.

I hate when they have such a wide range price wise, up to 50k is a stretch but 175k is a joke. Am I wrong in thinking the AMG is near 300k?

Old Johnny Lieberman's favorite was the Pagani

I mean, there is no sensible range of price.

Does this change-of-heart have anything to do with SRT buying an ad spread in one of the newer MT issues?

I'm sure. I hate the mindset that this car has always had this impression that its dangerous. It's just unforgiving, it doesn't suffer fools well, which is why I like it. This exclusive, luxury car mentality is going to kill the car again. There hasn't been a good review until the performance models started to arrive. The car now is starting to appeal to people that don't know the car, but know its reputation. Once they bypassed the luxury crap and got back to the soul of the car, the padding is starting to be removed from the hammer. Obviously the luxury car isn't what people wanted, they are sitting everywhere collecting dust, but the TA has been a tremendous success.

Keep up the good work and strip some more from the car, I am looking for a 40th Birthday present to myself, so lets see a more stripped down, lighter, more back to basics Version. There is a younger breed of muscle car lovers out there, build it the way they want it and they will wait in line to buy it.

imo any car costing 100k+ is a "luxury" car... luxury doesn't necessary mean comfort though.

I took these pictures at our local C&C back in October, the car was provided by Miller Motor Cars in Greenwich. In front of it was an Enzo and behind it a MacLaren F1. To compare these type car to 100k machines is kind of silly.
