Videos and Info: World's first Gen V Dodge Viper over 200 MPH in 1/2 mile

This past weekend, Dan Fox's Nth Moto built twin turbo Gen V Dodge Viper (TA 2.0) became the first ever in the world to surpass 200 MPH in a standing 1/2 mile. 200.5 MPH to be exact. This happened last Sunday at the WannaGOFAST Heaven's Landing Georgia event. The car made a handful of mid to high 190 passes all weekend before going 198.9 MPH then 200.5 MPH.

The record pass was made at over 5800 ft density altitude using the factory 6 speed 6060 manually shifted transmission, factory 19" wheels, all TA 2.0 high downforce aero components in place, and no weight reduction of any kind performed. Everyone involved in this project including Dan has been committed to proving how well these factory components can and do work. I think these last couple events are doing a great job of proving that! The 19” wheel combo was traction limited, but I think that added an awesome level of fun and excitement making all these components work properly together!

For those that might not have followed some of the previous threads, Dan's car uses our most popular Gen V twin turbo package, Nth Moto carbon carbon clutch, and our Nth Moto MoTeC M1 partner ECU.

We've now made over 1500 horsepower on the Gen V engine platform using the as-delivered factory cam-in-cam and heads. Our new Gen V forced induction non-adjustable cam and head packages have now allowed us to push past 1600 horsepower and we continue to push harder every week with the latest cars being completed at the shop. We hope our R&D and parts stress-testing will prove to be a benefit for Gen V community as a whole!

Here's some videos from the event I think you'll enjoy! When you watch the solo video, check out the dust wake created from the incredible downforce generated by the TA 2.0 aero package. It was amazing to see how different that wake looked compared to other cars at the event including other Vipers!

I think the Viper has the strongest long/short block of any production car! Ralph and Dick weren't kidding when they said it was very mod friendly! Awesome job Nthmoto!!!

Well finally after an entire week to regroup and get back to my daily life of selling lottery tickets . I can now provide some feedback and input on my Nth Moto TT Gen V TA 2.0

What a weekend of fast cars! Holy hell, I couldn't have asked for nicer weather and a better group of folks. I always rent a cabin for the Clayton WGF events and every year the group gets even larger and so does the cabin. Some of my family members drove all the way from Philly down to where I live in Atlanta just to attend. To have a cabin on the lake for the weekend with 25 of your closest friends & family members, along with the WGF event only 20 minutes away, it does NOT get any better.

As you guys saw, we were able to surpass the 200MPH mark in the standing half mile last weekend in Clayton. This TT TA 2.0 is truly phenomenal in every aspect and it hauls ass! It feels like a slingshot through all the gears. While going down the airstrip last weekend, the stability and comfort felt like I was in an AWD vehicle. With the TC system functionality, power management, etc... it just wants to go straight and in a hurry! Everyone at the event was amazed by not just the runs, but when it would just sit at idle with the cam

I requested loud, and I got it.

I guess the most remarkable thing of it all is that I am still running the 19" OEM Wheels with Nitto's on the rear, not 15" wheels with a parachute and some holes cut through the hood like its a gutted out corvette. My TA 2.0 looks identical to a bone stock TA 2.0. I drive my TA on the streets like its a stock viper on the road. The clutch is soooooo smooth, and the hill assist comes in handy when I am downtown.

Its so difficult to put something like this into words, when in reality its just not possible. You can probably understand a bit when watching the videos and even more so if you see the TT viper in person. My good friends have UGR Lambos, others have AMS GTR's, and a few have some older gen TT vipers. None of which respectively, I feel is as rewarding and thrilling as what Nth Moto has done to my TA.

I am so grateful to be able to experience something like this prior to the big 30 . I guess it just goes to show how crazy I am or really anyone can give Nth a call. I am not one to be all sentimental, but I did tell Aaron that I have not had that much fun in a long time since my moms passing from cancer a few years ago. So for me, this has been priceless and why I never let the silly bullshit we so often see in the car industry overlook what we strive to have & build. For what Nth Moto has done and continues to do for me I am forever grateful and feel I have gained a few new friends along the way.

Now, time for me to go for a drive and maybe a few donuts.

Since you're in Atlanta, can you tell me how you dodge() emissions with a standalone? This is one of the bigger reasons I sold my TT GTS. The state cracked down on the available sources and the only way to pass was legimately(which I was ultimately able to do but got tired of the conversion process). Feel free to PM if you don't want to share publicly.
