Ben Keating, Mike Levitas, and me lapping NOLA in our Gen V's.

Man what an INCREDIBLE time tracking these cars at NVE2. A few quick notes about the setup on the cars in the vids and of course the drivers.

Ben Keating is driving his personal Silver 2016 GTC Viper on ACR wheels/tires, our ViperExchange Heads and Cam Package, our Dynamic Suspension Package, and our Big Brake Kit. Car is in 100% full street trim and was driven from South Texas to and from the track. Most of you know Bens racing background so it's great to see him throw the street car around a little. Not sure if Ben has raced at NOLA prior to this.

Mike Levitas is driving his personal White TA on Hoosiers with full ARH Exhaust, Arrow controller, VE Big Brake Kit and the new RTX Damper for our Dynamic Suspension Package. Mike owns TPC Racing and gave Ben his start in IMSA co driving his Porsche, which Mike still professionally races. Mike has raced at NOLA before I believe.

My car is a 2015 Comp Blue GT on my street Toyo R888's with our ViperExchange Heads Cam Package, our Dynamic Suspension Package, and new Titanium catback. This is my first time tracking NOLA and I would classify myself as a solid intermediate driver making the move to advanced.

    Enjoy:

Had a great time riding with you and its amazing how the Tractive suspension absorbed the track side curbing!

    Very cool!
How do you like the R888's, how do they compare to the Corsa's?

I like them better than the Corsa's as far as a non ACR khumo that you can drive to the track on. I did have an issue with a rear losing a bead but think that it was something that happened during the install of the tire. I am going to take a look at it this week. As of right now that is my only complaint about them.

Fantastic videos... Thanks for posting. The cars sound amazing, are obviously wicked fast, handle great, and that camera mounting location is perfect. Just a GoPro?

Looks like Ben was cruising--about 65%. Mike's White Viper was hustling a bit more. Very smooth track!

The Hoosiers on Mikes car help out quite a bit. We also weren't thrilled with the pads on Bens car which are being swapped out for some new PFC's this week. Also they were letting each other pass back in forth to get some better videos for the dampers.

Go Pro Hero 4 with an external mic. I finally have a setup I like for forward facing shots. It's high on the car which does make the footage look a little slower than it actually is. Helmet cams are great at making the footage "look" faster but it's usually pretty bumpy and exposure seems to go in and out more than I like.

Nope temps were great. Ben, Mike, and I put the cars through their paces all weekend, on both the road course and the autocross and the highest oil temp I saw was 236 and collant temps were all normal as well.

Very nice videos! I talked briefly with Mike and he offered a ride in his car but I made the mistake of not making the time to do it. If I ever do the fancy shocks in the future I'll need to come down to Houston for a ride to see what I'm missing.

Since it was noted, I saw oil temps reach 254 and then I did a cool down that brought them down to 215. Coolant temp never got over 215. I'm running factory 0-40 weight and I bet Andy you're running 15-50 and that's why I was seeing higher temps?

Great videos & thanks for sharing! Any pic's of the 3 cars together? Is the RTX dampner an upgraded for the Tractive suspension?

That is possible (Temps) I was running 15-50 which could have helped a little with the temps. I know Bens were similar to mine as well. Yeah man you should have gone for a ride with Mike he is scary fast in that car considering it doesn't have any aero.

Hope this isn't off topic too much Andy. Any hopes of putting that suspension kit or a variant of it with identical performance into a Gen IV or should us Gen IV guys stick with MCS?

    Great videos, thanks for posting!
May I ask what size Hoosiers was he on, and in regards to the brake pads, exactly which ones were under performing & exactly which PFC pads is he switching to?
Also what pads were you and the 3rd car running?

The Stoptech pads that come with most of their big brake kits were fading pretty quick. The PFC 111's were excellent.

What is your opinion then on the Hoosier's versus the Kuhmo's? Ben's car had the Kuhmo's, Mike's the Hoosiers and Mike's car seemed faster despite Ben's car having heads/cam/suspension etc.

Good runs, it looked like you were faster in the second video. Turn 6 or 7? looks tad tricky as you have to stay track left and take it like a decreasing radius corner. I have not run the track before though, it may look that way through video. It all looks like a blast!

Awesome stuff! That titanium set-up sounds amazing. What's the weight savings and how does it drone compared to stock?

Both cars were on our active dampers, but both guys were letting each other pass to get video footage of the chassis movement on track with the dampers. The Hoosiers are quicker than the Khumos though.
