Sold the TA - Bought an Anodized Carbon

Out with the old and in with the new. I sold my Orange TA a few weeks back and it's headed overseas to Germany. Why did I sell my TA? Well, there wasn't one defining reason why. There are 2 other Orange TAs local to me. I was ready for a new canvas. I was ready for a road trip. I loved my TA, but was itching to go back to my black/SSG theme. I started looking for a black GT model because I liked the look of the Alcantara interiors. I planned on being patient to find the right car, but my patience lasted only a few hours. After receiving payment for my car, I made a deposit on an Anodized Carbon edition #3/50 that evening.

After almost 2 weeks of waiting, I finallly picked up the car last Sunday. Unlike my last eventful 4-day cross country road trip with the TA, this road trip was nothing but a boring drive on I-95. My brother and I flew up to DC Sunday morning and made it back home in the Tampa area Monday morning.

Dropping off the TA at the shipping yard

The salesman picked us up from the DC airport, but had to drool from the outside for 20 minutes before the dealership opened

Finally in! You need to see this paint in person to appreciate it. In the right light, you can see flakes of blue, green, purple, grey, etc.

    I LOVE this interior

I may have found the lowest mile anodized carbon car

We pulled over to get some Chi-Fil-A on the way home...but of course it took us an empty parking lot to remind us it was Sunday. When you're craving it the most, it's a Sunday.

Perfect song for driving the car home on May 1st

Love how menacing the car looks in this picture

Now I need to decide if I want to repaint my garage?

This color really shows the lines well

First thing I did when I got the car home was change the oil and install the DSE heatshield...then threw it on a dyno for a baseline

Over the weekend, I installed my diffuser blades, BC coilovers, and IPSCO underdrive pulley

If you've made it this far, I have more things to come for the car. I'm going to install Belanger headers and exhaust this weekend. Waiting for Arrow to send me back my PCM. I also had the pleasure of working with Tony to build a set of some badass 19"/20" Forgeline wheels. Can't wait for those! All that's left is some cf aero and I think I'll be satisfied.

Stunning! You can now say you've owned two of the absolute best Gen V color combos made! Congrats!

Oh, and good thing you still have some orange on that beast, so you don't have to repaint your garage like I do. Lol

Stunning car. Don't know that I would have parted with the TA, but nothing wrong with this choice either! Good luck with it!

Sterling BMW. My deal was supposed to include the installation of an XPEL Stealth clear bra. The installer called me 3 days before I was supposed to pick up the car (but after I had already paid for the car) and suggested to wait to have the clear bra put on until I got back to FL where it was warmer. I took their advice, but now the dealer only wants to offer me a refund of $350. I'm having the clear bra installed tomorrow for $1250, which I'm trying to get the dealer to pay for. Where the hell can you get a clear bra installed for only $350? Waiting to hear back from the Sales Manager before I conclude my opinion of them.
I know that dealership. They also sell Rolls Royce there and the Lamborghini, Ferrari of Washington is right there as well.

Congrats! My favorite of course. Partial clear bra or full?

Looks great, the orange garage still works too. I'm guessing the carbon cars will hold their value very well, hang on to that one.

I am drooling over your car. I ordered a gunmetal matte ACR Extreme on April 15th and the wait is killing me. I have yet to see one in my color, but i hope it's close to yours.

Thank you for the kind words, everyone!

A Viper owner sells the blades on ebay for $25/pc...just search for 'Viper diffuser blades'. I bought 6 of them and pieced the hardware together at Lowes. Easy to install, but a pain in the ass to draw out a template...especially at midnight after working on the car all day.

Just paint your garage stripe red or paint the ACR stripe orange...easy work! haha

Thank you! It's my plate. I think it's fitting since the ass end of the Viper can be all over the place if you want it to.

Doing a partial (front bumper, headlights, side sills, and behind the rear wheels). $1500 just for the hood? No thanks...

That's the one. Very nice dealership. Just got off the phone with the Sales Manager and they are cutting me a check for the full price of a comparable installation. Much better than the initial $350 they offered me!

I have Xpel on my front fascia, rockers, wheelwells, and rear quarters. I wish now that I had spent the extra and done the hood, as there is one tiny ding (can barely see it, but I know it's there, probably from a stone), and a larger scratch that I noticed after a show last fall. That one we touched up with Dr. Colorchip, but all the same, knowing what I know now, I would do the hood. Might still, but my detail guy is booked solid through July!
