Out with the old and in with the new. I sold my Orange TA a few weeks back and it's headed overseas to Germany. Why did I sell my TA? Well, there wasn't one defining reason why. There are 2 other Orange TAs local to me. I was ready for a new canvas. I was ready for a road trip. I loved my TA, but was itching to go back to my black/SSG theme. I started looking for a black GT model because I liked the look of the Alcantara interiors. I planned on being patient to find the right car, but my patience lasted only a few hours. After receiving payment for my car, I made a deposit on an Anodized Carbon edition #3/50 that evening.
After almost 2 weeks of waiting, I finallly picked up the car last Sunday. Unlike my last eventful 4-day cross country road trip with the TA, this road trip was nothing but a boring drive on I-95. My brother and I flew up to DC Sunday morning and made it back home in the Tampa area Monday morning.
Dropping off the TA at the shipping yard
The salesman picked us up from the DC airport, but had to drool from the outside for 20 minutes before the dealership opened
Finally in! You need to see this paint in person to appreciate it. In the right light, you can see flakes of blue, green, purple, grey, etc.
I LOVE this interior
I may have found the lowest mile anodized carbon car
We pulled over to get some Chi-Fil-A on the way home...but of course it took us an empty parking lot to remind us it was Sunday. When you're craving it the most, it's a Sunday.
Perfect song for driving the car home on May 1st
Love how menacing the car looks in this picture
Now I need to decide if I want to repaint my garage?
This color really shows the lines well
First thing I did when I got the car home was change the oil and install the DSE heatshield...then threw it on a dyno for a baseline
Over the weekend, I installed my diffuser blades, BC coilovers, and IPSCO underdrive pulley
If you've made it this far, I have more things to come for the car. I'm going to install Belanger headers and exhaust this weekend. Waiting for Arrow to send me back my PCM. I also had the pleasure of working with Tony to build a set of some badass 19"/20" Forgeline wheels. Can't wait for those! All that's left is some cf aero and I think I'll be satisfied.![]()
