Front 6-pot Caliper Brake Kit Upgrade

We are pleased to announce the availability of RB 6 pot front BBK for Vipers G3/4/5:

The front BBK will consist the following:
Calipers: Viper Brembo 6 pot calipers (same as OE CCB for 2016 ACR-Extreme)
Rotors: 390x36mm RB two piece light weight high performance rotors (estd wt: 27.5 lbs) made to the same offset and size as CCB rotors

We like to see how many people are interested in this kit in order to decide if we should tool up this kit.

Brake pads and lines are not included but are available as optional adder.

This is the most affordable and economical brake kit upgrade you have been waiting for; allowing you to modernize you brake to the latest ACR-E (in CCB brake size) but w/o the painful replacement cost (~$3,000/ea for rotor ~$800/ea for pad) of CCB set up. Brake pads formulated for iron rotors are available from RB.

For the rear, you can retain the OE 4 pot calipers and rotors, or upgrade to RB light weight two piece rotors.

Another innovative brake upgrade option offered by RacingBrake:

Would it be fair to say these kits are for Vipers with 19" front wheels ?

  3. #3
Yes. They will fit under CCB OE 19" wheels.

These two piece rotors can also be used to swap CCB to iron rotors so to avoid those extreme replacement cost on CCB rotors and pads.

So what are we talking about with respect to extra braking capability over the gen 5 GTS with the stock brakes?

How about something that will work with a sidewinder 2 wheel in 380 size rotor so we don't have to go buy the big 19 inch wheels and tires.

Interested! I am assuming my 18 inch hyper black venom wheels will not clear the calipers though...

  7. #7
Interested and if it'll be in the same size and offset as the acr ccb brakes after market 18'' wheels will work then.

This thread is for CCB to iron conversion, and upgrading 355mm 4 pot to 390mm rotors with 6 pot calipers which requires a minimum of 19" wheels.

For other smaller rotor or caliper kit options please refer to this thread with different options.

Definitely interested. Just price it appropriately. I do not want to pay 8 grand for my next full CCB brake job on my ACR, this is a great option

We offer complete iron conversion for those cars come with CCB either as standard like Ferrari and Corvette ZR1, or option such as Aston Martin, Porsche, BMW M3/M4/M5. Or iron to CCB upgrade such as Nissan GTR, Audi R8, Mercedes GTS, and Tesla.

Viper will be the new addition to our coverage. Our service includes all brake components such as caliper rebuild components, caliper and rotor upgrade, consumables such as brake pads and replacement discs etc.

So if you are looking for a cheaper and stable supply of brake pads for your Viper CCB, we can modify ZR1 pads to fit better than OE by eliminating the bottom excessive as you can see from this used pad picture posted by Todd.

i'm interested. how much with pads and ss brake lines? are you able to make the rear rotor larger? are the rotors slotted, cross drilled or both?

  12. #12
Because Viper rear has no drum brake so the rear upgrade is limited to the hand brake.
For the same reason even the new CCB front is upsized to 390mm but the rear remains the same @360mm. It's not impossible to build a BBK for the rear but is definitely more involved in cost and effort.

    What price would make sense?

As we present a complete brake upgrade for BMW M3/M4, I noticed this competitive Brembo kit (380mm rotors) at $4600 (Front kit only)

    http://www.ssr-performance.com/produ...-bmw-m3-m4-f80

How it compares to Stoptech kit?

are you asking us to give you pricing suggestions or are you saying you are going to price similar to a M3/4 bbk? i'm confused...

We like to know what price would make sense to Viper owners for such a kit in comparison to Brembo or Stoptech kits.

RB two piece rotors come with our premium "Open Slots" design allowing heat expansion and contraction without cracking like typical round hole cross drilled holes would.
