Xpel install on my ACR-E... remove the front canards?

    Hey all,

Well drove the ACR-E in for full frontal Xpel... installer (great guy) recommends removal of front canards to Xpel underneath...

What do you all think? He's currently looking for the rivets to put them back on... I got a little squeamish when I heard it... LOL.

He is correct, they should be removed and reinstalled. My installer has the exact factory rivets having done a few Gen V's with canards before.
He did my ACR-E no problem and reinstalled canards.

I left mine on and it came out fine. There is just a small seam around them

I would not remove them, just go around them you will never see it

I took my canards off before taking it in to the shop. I know it's scary to drill into your new car but its not a big deal, the hole is already there.

I had my guy go around and you don't notice. The reason we did this is to make it low cost and easy to replace a section of clear, should it get damaged. I think either path would be fine, personal preference.

No right or wrong but the shop many of use around here on Long Island is very detailed oriented, they disassemble high end cars all the time to properly install wraps, radar detectors and paint protection film so to take off canards and reinstall them with the factory rivets on a Dodge is child's play.
