    ACR at Big Bend

A buddy who ran his C7 Z06 at Big Bend a few days ago told me there was a white ACR that "went into limp mode" 3 miles into his run. Later the car apparently started and ran fine. Anybody know what the issue was?

Talk to Todd/Venom V. His went into limp mode. Apparently, there is an update that fixes it.

Your buddy is probably lying, because he knows that is one of the main problems with the C7Z, the C7Z crowd are the biggest butt hurt cry babies I've ever seen, I can't even lurk that section anymore, over there if t isn't a C7Z it's junk , this includes other model Corvettes , I've never seen anything like it, the funny thing is that the C6 ZR1 is built so much better.
There isn't a car they won't try and compare the new Z to, Bugatti, high end Porsche, Lambos etc... The comparo threads to cars far superior (don't even mention Viper) just show the inferiority complex that 98% of the owners have.

Then they bring up the 79k price tag, ignoring that 90% of them are priced over 100k,

Jabba - you beat me to the punch I was gonna say "Misery loves company". Could other cars be going into limp mode after being around a Z06?

I am a long time CF member and former C6 Z06 owner. I used to have great respect for what Chevy could make the vette do. The attitude in the C7Z forum has completely turned me off to Corvette. I do still lurk occasionally because it's somewhat entertaining despite the patheticness.

Laurence stated there was reported coolant on the road. I wasn't there this year, but here's a pic from FB and the results for the appropriate class (ACR top of second page).

My car went into limp mode at the track a few weeks ago. I contacted an SRT engineer friend of mine, he told me it was a known issue and the solution is a software update. The dealer performed it, problem solved. I tracked again last weekend, issue free.

Car (totally stock) is being dropped off today so we'll see, I'm sure it is something simple.

Thanks. I would like to know more about the update, if you have any info. My ACR was delivered very recently - on April 13th. I guess my question is "Before what build date is the software update required?"

    Mark,

    Any word on the issue?

Yes needed the PCM update, not calling for it in the VIP system, but is available as an option... Flash number should be 5035394AF, basically reduces the misfire detection over sensitivity, kind of like the Arrow PCM does to help this.

Let's have a little compassion... Most of those guys have probably been in "limp mode" for a while, and it's not surprising that they've gotten a bit cranky. I hear that Pfizer is going to sponsor a blue C7Z to try and remedy the problem.
