STRIPES!!!! On a 2005 Vert

So I was kind of craving some stripes recently. I haven't owned a Viper with stripes yet and it looked like fun. Originally I used the gen 5 website to check all kinds of crazy color options before narrowing the search. There's just something about the silver/blue combo from the 99 GTS's that is beautiful. I found a local shop that specializes in custom stuff and I stopped by with the car one afternoon to look through their sample books. That was very overwhelming at first to say the least. I picked a few options and put them in the sun with the car. As soon as I saw Satin Perfect Blue from 3M I knew that was definitely the color. Gave them the deposit that day.

Fast forward to a couple weeks later. I took the day off work so that I could spend the day at the shop. They were going to do stripes on the Viper as well as window tint on my Dart.

The guy did an incredible job with these. I am very pleased. He may have also been a bad influence because the car is going back for a few more custom touches next week

I was not an original stripe fan either with my '01 Sapphire blue roadster. But, like you, it began to grow on me with my '08 convert.

That blue POPS! Looks beautiful! But not in your first pic.

I had the stripes painted on my Silver Vert, could not find anyone to lay the vinyl ones

I have the exact same car....I really like that look with stripes! I like the black lettering behind the front tires too.

yeah looks great. looks like they stretched and cut it on the car. i wouldn't have the balls to put a blade on my car. i bought a kit that was precut because i'm chicken

He did make custom cuts to the vinyl while it was on the car. He showed me how he does it so that the paint is not affected or scratched at all. The guy is very talented that's for sure. I don't think I would try this myself.

Hopefully. I am trying to get down there but there's lots to do before the NVE2 trip, in particular finishing the convoy details so that it can get sent to everyone early next week. So we'll see, it will be a game time decision tomorrow.

I like it because it is a little different. Blue goes well on silver but satin blue was never offered. It does look like it was done well too.

I copied the 06 coupe dimensions.

Front: 8 1/8 inch stripe with a 4 1/8 gap
Roof: 8.75 inch stripe (obviously not there but for reference)
Rear: 9 inch stripe
