ACR TPMS Light But PSI Within Limits

I woke up at the crack of dawn to go for a drive in the ACR today, and when I started it the TPMS light was on. The weird thing is, the system was telling me the rear tires are low and need to be increased to 35 psi, even though the factory recommendation of 29 psi is on the sticker on the door jam. Has anyone seen this? I assume this is a programming issue in the TPMS and I need to take it to the dealer? I'm wondering if they put the wrong programming in the car for a non-ACR.

Update: Took the car in to the dealer, and they were able to fix the TPMS with a little of my help. In their computer system there is a diagram of all the different computer systems in the car. On the top center of the diagram is the "BCM" (Body Control Modual). Click on that, select the menu item related to TPMS, and set the desired value. Mine was already showing the correct values, but it obviously wasn't right. I asked them to re-input the correct values and re-send them to the car. That worked, and the TPMS light stayed off when I lowered the rear to 29psi.

Yes, same here and it is annoying. I just had my software updated at the dealer for other reasons (limp mode at the track), so I hope this issue has also been resolved.

Please let me know when you find out whether it did fix the issue. I'd rather not waste a bunch if time dealing with the dealership if they can't fix it. I guess for now I'll run 35psi in the rears.

Funny to see a low tire warning light, at 30+ psi. I'd rather see it at 18 psi on the low end, personally. That would accommodate most drag radials, when being used

Getting same thing. It never happened until I went to the track and had the down at 22 to start warming them up in my session. Now it just stays on with the pressures at stock .I was hoping it would re set

Mine was similar. The TPMS was fine for my drive home from Tampa in the car. Unfortunately I don't recall the pressure it was at. After sitting in the garage overnight, with no change in pressure it came on and hasn't gone off. Definitely gonna have to figure this out. I'm tempted to try pulling the battery cable to see if it resets.

Typically the notification will come on when it gets really low and past the lower threshold, say 22psi for example. All you need to do it inflate past the upper threshold , 35 psi, and then drop it to the 29 psi. It will stay out.

I just increased the psi in both rear tires and the warning did not go off until 33 psi. I will try dropping them back to the 29 psi recommendation, but I'm doubtful the light won't come back on at 33 psi. I'll update when I drop the pressure.

At this point I'm thinking Dodge mis-programmed my required pressure values and I'm going to have to get them changed to the correct psi.

Had the same problem on my ACRE after my last track day. Right side front and rear read low even though the tires were clearly with at 33psi. Sent it to the dealer, they called back and said the sensors on that side suffered from thermal damage. Replaced and right as rain now.

Update: Dropped the pressures back to the recommendations on the door sill sticker, and the light immediately came back on. Definitely have to visit the dealer for this one. Hopefully they can fix it. Bummer.

Please keep us posted. I literally have 25 miles on my ACRE. I'm hoping with less work and more fun time in the coming months I can start to enjoy her. I have to say this is an amazing car. This is just a nuisance I hope that they can quickly fix. On a side note, I have the arrow tuning and can this be adjusted by arrow in the programming they have done? It'll be interesting to see if the guys with a tune on their ACR's also experience this.

And yet another update. Jumped in the car yesterday for a quick drive, and the light came back on with the rears at 29 psi, displaying a message saying to inflate to 35 psi. It seems as though the TPMS computer is dropping the correct values and defaulting to 35 psi on all 4 tires. Not really sure what I'm going to do about it, but I'll update when I have more information. I'd really prefer to talk directly to Dodge than keep making appts and wasting time at the dealer. I'd be surprised if a lot more people aren't experiencing the same thing.

I too have the light come on but there's no message only to check sensors even though all tires show pressure (29 cold). Took it to the dealer who then decided to change the entire tire pressure module. He said that even though the tire sensors were working the module couldn't recognize which tire was front, back, left or right. After he replaced the module it still didn't work. Mechanic then did the tire input manually which seems to have worked. I picked it up Friday and within 3 miles from dealer the light came on again.

My pressure lights are off but I still have seat belt and airbag light on.

Mine measure 5 lbs off,so the car at 29 lbs. thinks its 24 lbs. and the light comes on, put 34/35 lbs in and its happy registering 29 lbs.

I'm experiencing the very same thing. It happened immediately after having the dealer perform the most recent update(s)! Like most of us, I hate making multiple trips to the dealer.

Hopped in the car this morning and the TPMS warning indicator is gone!

I have yet to visit the dealer to get the desired psi reprogrammed. Is the system self learning?
