    2008 ACR in PA

Hey everyone, I've introduced myself on the VOA Facebook page already but figured I should do the same here. I recently was lucky enough to buy my dream car which happens to also be my first Viper.

It's a 2008 ACR Hardcore in Venom Red. Im told of the 7 ACRs made in this color this was the only hardcore. The car is well known I'm sure as the previous owner was none other than Bill P. @ Woodhouse. He was great to work with and Im lucky to have called him by chance when I did just as this car came available for sale.

Bill had upgraded the car exactly as I would have since he ran the car in NASA TT1 trim which I plan to continue. My hope is to let my bank account recover over the summer and then hit the track starting in August with some open track days. As I get comfortable and learn the car the hope is to progress with NASA into TT1 at some point in the not too distant future. I have track experience in other cars and have done a few laps in a gen III Viper but never in anything this quick or capable.

I've been a Viper fanatic my entire life collecting most everything I could with a particular focus on ACRs and the factory GTS-R/GT3-R race cars. To have an ACR of my own hasn't even fully sunk in yet.

I'm part of a big Mopar family located in Macungie, PA. We have a nice little collection and in addition to the Viper I have a 1964 Dodge Polara with a Turbocharged 440 and a 2005 Dodge SRT-4 Neon. Both cars are highly modified and raced regularly at Maple Grove/Island Dragway.

Here is a picture of the car along with my father's SRT RAM.

I looked forward to meeting everyone at future events!

    -Shawn

Shawn, welcome, and consider joining the Delaware Valley Mopar Association. Hope to see you at Mopars at Maple Grove in a couple months.

Thanks! We will be there for sure. Usually I would be drag racing something but those cars are down for upgrades/repairs so I may just drive the Viper and watch this year.

Congratulations Shawn! Very glad to have you in the PA club. We're very active, and have several members not far from you. We have several events coming up, including the Pre-Memorial day BBQ in Moscow in May, Snakes on the Mountain in Lehighton in June, and the Chryslers at Carlisle in July. We also have a few members who track their car regularly at Pocono, Lime Rock, Watkins Glen, etc. Looking forward to meeting you.

Thank you both! I'll need to check out the club calendar. I'm at Carlisle every year but we usually take a truck to haul parts rather than any of the nice cars haha. I hope to run at Pocono in August with CART and again with Precision Track Time in September.

Great VOA Club in PA, and have some other great customers and friends , so may have to come visit the Venom Mistress next time in your area. She is a very rewarding girl and it is a blessing for her to go to a fellow MoPar Maniac. Glad to see you did join and can guarantee you will meet some very like minded members in your area --PA is a very strong stomping ground for Viperholics. Enjoy my friend !

Thanks for everything Bill! You're always welcome to check out your car's new home next time you're in the area.
