    Oakland Go-Karts

WOW !!! If I remember the last time we did this ACR Steve tried to run me over and push me off into the dirt. I hope he can refrain from that sort of sportsmanship this time. I can't wait !!!! I say we do it rain or shine, as a matter of fact, the rain might be even more fun ! Do we know if they have special reinforced Karts for our club ??

LOL, I'm in and all signed up :-).

Who was #9 that was eating more grass than a cattle herd?

Shall I need to bring a HANS device now

  6. #6
Thanks Scott for posting those!! This place has legendary status in our club and for good reasons.. most of them funny :-) But check for videos of Oakland Valley Karting on YouTube and you'll see the track layout is awesome and challenging. Let's see some more signups!

We're also going to re-define the time to 11am-1pm to give us time for a comfortable cruise up to get there.

Okay - The plan for downstaters is probably going to need to involve the Taconic to Bear mountain or 84 across Newburgh-Beacon Bridge... the Tappan Zee is going to be down to ONE LANE NORTHBOUND on 4/30 according to every electronic sign-board near the bridge.

I'll map out how long that should take and setup a meeting spot tonight or tomorrow.

Guys, I have a RaceQuip single-layer one piece racing suit that's way too big for me. Only used it once. If you need one you're welcome to it. I'll bring it to the event.

    MEETING SPOTS -

starting with the Mobil Station on the Hutch Parkway in Harrison NY for the NYC/LI crew - meet at 8:45am - we drive at 9.

Chuck - we can stop off your exit 684 and meet you on the ramp if you want?

Tony, Andrew, CT and Taconic Parkway people - let's meet up just off exit 15 off rt84 Westbound. We'll jump off and right back on, so park on the westbound on-ramp by 9:30 ish... we should be coming through there by 9:45.

    84 Westbound Exit 15 Pickup.jpg

Steve - we're taking the Newburgh Beacon bridge and I think you're the only one already on that side of the river, so you tell me... where would you like to chase us down? :-)
