Brake and Clutch Fluid separation and general recommendations to fix a grind 2 to 3?

Ok, I've searched for a couple of days for a thread I had seen many moons ago showing what to buy/install if you are experiencing a grind between shifts.
It included fluid, separating brake and clutch reservoirs, a product from Tick, etc..
I have a Gen V and it grinds slightly under hard shifts from 2-3. I changed the clutch and hoped it was just the stock clutch dying.. but it still does it.

    Thanks for any advice.

    G

PS: I spoke to my dealer and they said the just replace the entire transmission under warranty vs repair. Could be out of the frying pan and into the fire if I pick up one that grinds elsewhere also.

Although not perfect, the G5 clutch typically shifts very nicely.

What hp is yor car generating.

I had the same problem. It's the clutch. After going to the nth moto Carbon clutch I am doing flat foot shifting smooth as butter. If you haven't already damaged something in the transmission. The stock clutch shifted fine until you get aggressive. But even the driving around just cruising the nth moto clutch is so amazing. The stock clutch was engaging toward the bottom travel of the pedal which also aggravated the problem. This clutch is at mid travel. The Carbon clutch disk weigh next to nothing which also help the synchronizers do their job.

You are going to have problems, with the 6060, it just is not made for that hp. In a previous nitrous car, I pulled the trans (T56) every year and rebuilt it. I am surprised the clutch is holding, just a guess, you have not launched on slicks yet. The good thing is, we now have some nice clutch options.

The stock clutch held surprisingly well.. I replaced it the the McLeod.

I planned on beefing up the 6060. I know it's heresy but I'd prefer an automatic.

    Tick recommended the following:

We offer two packages for that transmission. I would recommend our Level 2 package. That is just about everything you can do to that transmission to add strength. We replace the 1st thru 4th Blocker rings with new upgraded carbon fiber rings. The internals will get cryogenic treatment and REM polishing. These processes strengthen the internals tremendously. You will get new seals. All shift forks will get bronze fork pads ( factory ones are plastic).

We will fully inspect the trans during disassembly. If there are any synchronizers or gears that have damaged engagement teeth we will recommend replacing them.

The 6060 prep'd correctly will hold up to your output with the right combination of components and clutch assembly.
The grinding you are getting is common with the early 6060's that have the bronze lined blocker rings. Upgrading to the Carbon blocker rings will make a major improvement. We have found a different process that works very well on the gears and sliders to improve the strength and reduce sliding friction. It is the same process used on 99%+ of all NHRA Pro Stock transmissions.
We also provide a different fluid for all of the T 6060 transmissions builds.

An automatic conversion works very well in 1000hp + Vipers. We have done and supplied kits for quite a few of them out there.

PM me and we can talk more

I do not know if you know John Donato (post above), however, there is no one better to work on the 6060. A lot of the so called trans experts use John. Even those doing the auto conversions use John's adapters.
