I did hear someone else say they were VIN locked and that thing posted and it sold in a hurry... I believe it was someone that went with a calvo TT kit. But would definitely like to know if there is a way to get it unlocked and use it with a second car for a fee etc.

Nope. With the Gen Vs, if you swap ECUs from one car to another, you risk locking the radio and throwing all sorts of lights on the dash. The different modules in the car pass the VIN number between them to ensure nothing is stolen. Sometimes it will not give you errors until the battery is disconnected.

I didn't know you guys were all on the forum Glad everyone received them and give me a call if there's an issue getting it installed. As for buying someone else's controller, the only way to make it work in a new car is if its reflashed at Arrow which isn't something they typically do.

Again thanks for the business and kind words guys!

The Viper ECU's vins can be rewritten. You just have to know someone that knows how to do it. My local viper tech knows how.

Quick question Andy pls. If I put the Arrow controller in myself, can I make it to the Dodge dealer, about 5 miles away, without doing the throttle pos. relearn, or will it not know what to do?

    Thx,

    Dave

    Hi Dave,

When you start the car you'll get codes and go into limp mode within a mile or so. I tried it in my car to see what would happen and that's pretty much how it played out.

Nice. Glad the install went well and you're enjoying it. It's the best bang for the buck mod you can do for the car.
