I love the Cups. Too bad they don't make them for us any more. I just replaced the Cups with Corsas. I have about 1200 street miles and 7 track sessions on them. Nice tire. Good price over here. Softer than the Cups. Good traction. I'm not sure about the front track wear yet. I was driving them pretty hard and got some outside wear. I need more camber in the front. Not dead yet but noticeably worn.
toyo Proxy R888's just put them on and love them.
R888s. Love 'em x 2.
Best place to get the 888s?

another uk owner here, just started at looking at getting the r888 in a 345-30-19 but they don't import them here in the uk and tire rack won't ship them as they say toyo don't allow them to sell internationally. so where do i go from here?
There are shipping companies in the USA where you can send stuff to there warehouse (with a USA Zip code address) they load up a container with many other small customer orders and then ship the container to the UK.

I got rid of my Cups, didn't like them, now have 285/35/18 Pilot Sports on the front, and 345/30/19 Pilot Super Sports on the back
I got them from Protyre, £900 the lot

Ive tried all sorts, these 285's are a good fit and feel great
I ran the Super Sports on ours . I've also heard really good things about the 888's.
Hey Sam
I have Michelin super sports on all 4 corners at the moment but was thinking the r888 would be better for my road trip to Le man's taking in a day at spa on the way. Had them before on my gt500 they were excellent in summer, not so handy in the wet...
Thanks for the links fat boy ill do some sums and see what it'll cost me, see if it's worth it.
R888s ARE Dangerous in heavy rain and surface water, Be careful. I know we don't intend to drive the cars in wet weather but if you get caught out in a heavy downpour they loose grip much faster than other tires. Soft compound with great grip in the dry but really they are a track tire. I was side by side with a porsche at around 50 mph,hit a patch of surface water, the back went sideways across the path of the porsche, he had grip and let me correct the car but it was a close moment! Prior to that I had been on the motorway thinking everything was fine at 80mph! Dread to think what would have happened if the car had lost grip at that speed.
Talking from experience here![]()
I had a very hairy moment in the gt500 in r888's when it was wet and I tried to overtake moved into outside lane and the car fish tailed side to side. I was very fortunate to not hit the central reservation, or any cars around me. Yet only months earier I was on the autobahn doing well over 120 and the road was wet and the car didn't even notice the wet.
Tried looking on ebay only found tire rack vending them, and yes they come from Japan so I have no idea why the UK won't get them or why they don't allow tire rack to sell them internationally. Maybe it's just an excuse they don't want to deal with couriers.
