    Winter driving you mad yet?

Even here in south London / Surrey the weather, while not having any snow has been rubbish, salted roads, then loads of wet weather then more icy conditions and more salt roads. I think the last time I drove my car was October! We get the odd sunny day but the roads are filthy and if you were to take the car out it would need a full clean underside after a short drive! Roll on Summer.

Sounds about like here in central Illinois. This time between winter and spring is the worst. By end of March we should be pretty good-to-go. Rains will have cleaned the roads and temps will be moderating for good, not like the crazy swings we've had about every 48 hours the past couple of weeks.

We've been having those same temperature swings here in Jersey too. One weekend I'm washing cars, the next I'm shoveling snow. I can't complain though, it's been a very mild winter for the most part. But I love being outside, so I'm starting to get antsy. To all the folks who are able to enjoy their cars and the outdoors year round, you don't know how lucky you are!

I only got to put about 150 miles on the Viper this weekend with the top down in North Texas.

Ugh, tell me about it. The other night I went to dinner with my girlfriend and afterwards we took a little drive for fun but near the end we had to roll up the windows cause it was just a bit chilly at 10:30. Plus we were tired because we had spent the whole day dealing with the 75 degree sunshine. I'm glad she and I had each other to help us get through it.

Starting to make the turn here, need a few heavy rains to wash away the salt and sand. Street cleaners will show up mid April and get rid of the gravel. Have seen a few cars out and about, but I am a bit more patient.

"Winter" - HAHAHAHA, LOL-LOL-LOL-LOL. Winter here in Phoenix has been brutal ....... It's only March 1st and I'm having to put on sunscreen and actually had to turn on the AC (top down of course)!!!! And speaking of driving ... great cruise coming up with the club this weekend where we'll put on about 300 miles.

A picture from a cruise a while back:

Only good thing about winter is when you take your car out of hibernation you get the feeling you bought a Viper all over again.

So late Friday evening I finish work and head home on the freeway (Motorway) The illuminated signs are saying alt spreading is in progress and some fruitcake comes past me in a Mazda MX5 with the top down! He must have been freezing, not even a hat on!

Our winters typically range -22F to 5F. It typically snows daily.

This year, it has been below freezing a handful of times and has snowed around 6 times. If it wasnt for the gravel dumped EVERYWEHRE I probably didnt need to winter park my car. It is extra depressing to see a sunny 57F day in March and be unable to drive my car due to frictionless balls of stone peppered across the city. I would gladly drive with the roof off on a 57F day given the chance.
