    The C7 Z06

I will have to say this ... One of our neighbors recently purchased a brand new yellow Z06.... He had a 2014 C7 Corvette, what aftermarket exhaust that really push me to go ahead and buy the Dodge Viper... I had a Corvette C5 at the time but everytime I saw his car it made me really want a Viper that much more...

It was about 3 months ago when he first saw my Viper... He knew his C7 was still not as cool as my Viper... So what will he do next? He goes out and buys a New C7 yellow Z06... however he wasn't the first to buy one in our community we have three of them now and 4 regular C7 stingrays....

However I always like the Corvette, but the Z06 is truly a very sexy car.... even though I'm extremely satisfied with my Viper and if I put a supercharger on my car it will have the same horsepower as the ZO6. The Z06 may I have issues but looking at the car from the front is really an Art piece.... Very beautiful car and it's growing on me unfortunately.....

There are at least 3 that come to our C&C, and one (a guy I've known for years) had the Calloway treatment just finished on his (700+hp). They are very nice cars, and I wouldn't kick one out of my garage.

I looked at getting a Z06 and then saw the Viper at an Auto show and knew right away it was a way sexier looking car.

I had an order for a c7 zo6, and never even thought of buying a new viper but. Just for fun I went to look at one and two days later I bought one, its was so sexy I just had to have one. Still love the look of the c7 tho, wish I could afford both

You mention the number of C7's in your community, how many Vipers?

I know that in my community, the ratio is approximately 40:1.

C7 was on my shortlist but I didn't want a car where you had to look at which badge is on the fender to know if it was a good version or not.

You see a Viper, you don't need to see a badge to know if it's the good one or not.

A good friend of mine brought his new black Z06 over before the winter and threw me the keys and said, "take it for a drive." So I did. Fast as hell but absolutely WOULD NOT hook up at all. I have a C6 Z06 and it has issues hooking up, but not like this car. Great looking car but it would be very easy to get killed in it. The Viper looks better and is easier to drive fast IMO.

I love the look of the C7. Awesome looking car. If I were to buy a vette it would be the C6 ZR1. I want a garage full of track capable cars. Maybe I would make an exception for the Audi A7 RS.

9,000 Z's produced in one year is excessive especially when they closely resemble the base model pumped out another 30k times per year. Exclusivity has big value in my book

I was out driving yesterday and saw 10 Corvettes... No Vipers. Exclusivity is pretty cool....

As for the C7, the looks never did anything for me but they are growing on me. The fact the Z has heat soak issues and can't hook up are not helping it's cause. I came from the Vette world (had 4 of them) and for whatever reason they don't feel special. I would own another one, but only in addition to a Viper. The C6 ZR1 is what I'd put in my garage....

I see to refer to the intersection by my house as "corvette corner." Not a single light site cycle goes by that I don't see one. At last it seems like that.

I'm not into the cars, personally, but from a sheer objective point of view, I think the C6 ZR1 is a better car, IMO. I also think it will hold its value better. Time will tell of course. But I just think it was the better designed and built car.

I have always had a problem with not being able to tell the difference between the ZR1 and the automatic grocery getter. That's not a selling point for me, that they all look the same-ish. And I would hate if the Viper had a 390hp option.

The Viper Does it is called the Gen 1... Well 400 hp but still...

The reason for the thread was not which Corvette is the best ect. It was the the ZO6 is begin to grow on me.. It is a sexy car...

We can own a Viper and still think a Corvette looks good... This was not intended to say why the Viper is better but just the fact the Z06 is sexy...

I am sorry that some can not tell the difference between Z06 and a base Corvette... There is definitely a difference within the body style... one can make that argument C5 Corvette Z06 and the base looks the same but the same can be said about the generation 2 Viper ACR....
