Couldn't tell from OP's post whether he is buying the car in Louisiana or whether he lives there. I would always get the clear bra done close to home. Helps if you ever have issues and need to replace a piece.

Front bumper, rockers and behind all wheels. Not doing the hood. Not a track car and I'm a minimalist but feel it's a must have on those spots.
OP, Do it right and spend the bucks to do a complete job.
minimalist= Iam too cheap to do a complete job. ACR-E not tracked= Poser Probably used an off brand painters tape too..lol

Irony - A brokedick who complains incessantly about the resale value of his entry level Viper in dozens of posts calling someone who bought his second new Gen V and an ACR-E to boot cheap. Keep trying baller.

Yes, with Xpel. I like to maintain my own paint and have Flex and PC buffers and a boatload of detailing products to do so which is why I do the areas most prone to damage with clear bra but not the whole car. I don't like the look of clear bra on the hood and roof. To each his own.

I have my front fascia, wheelwells, rockers, and rear quarters done with Xpel. When it goes to my guy here local for it's refresh in a month or two, I think he will redo the front fascia under warranty - there is a slight peeling underneath where you can't see unless you get under and looks. Also had the whole car done with CQuartz - makes keeping a garaged car, which doesn't see much bad weather, really easy to maintain.

I am too cheap to do a complete job is making fun of himself. Your belief that a complete job is the only way to do it right is WRONG. I did front fascia, partial hood, mirrors, rockers, behind wheels. That's all that's necessary for most as clear bra is not a cosmetic enhancement and that's where chips are most likely to occur.

Any chance you could post some more pics of your gunmetal pearl with black stripes? I'm considering a similar combo and would love to see some more examples.

absurd price, I just did my 16 TA for $2100 Xpels flagship ultimate - entire front, whole hood, mirrors, doors, and Rockers.. which wrinkle after you track the car (certain areas).

Take a look at my thread on the Boomerang mud flaps/stone guards. I have 10,000 miles on my car and the bottom of the rockers look like new. i had the rockers wrapped, however, he never took the wrap down to the bottom, in other words he wrapped 2/3 of the rocker. Basically, the stone guards protected the front and bottom of the rockers. They blend in and are hard to detect. Just a guess, but, the front lip of your rockers are probably down to the base metal.

I am in process of un-wrapping my car, the installer used 3M and over 50% of the wrap has discolored. The damage is not front heat, even the front is discolored. I will have it re-wrapped in spring time, I will have to do a little research this time, the 3M was a huge disappointment.

I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong..... Didn't wanna wrap the rockers due to yellowing, peeling etc. Shoulda. Bottom of mine are pretty knackered with the Corsas and tracking. Oh well. They're of no concern now!

But I still think wrapping the whole hood, roof, rear fender tops etc, is like Grandmas plastic wrapped couch, remaining in perfect condition till it's tossed in the dump cause it's old and out of style.
