Couldn't tell from OP's post whether he is buying the car in Louisiana or whether he lives there. I would always get the clear bra done close to home. Helps if you ever have issues and need to replace a piece.

Yes, with Xpel. I like to maintain my own paint and have Flex and PC buffers and a boatload of detailing products to do so which is why I do the areas most prone to damage with clear bra but not the whole car. I don't like the look of clear bra on the hood and roof. To each his own.

I have my front fascia, wheelwells, rockers, and rear quarters done with Xpel. When it goes to my guy here local for it's refresh in a month or two, I think he will redo the front fascia under warranty - there is a slight peeling underneath where you can't see unless you get under and looks. Also had the whole car done with CQuartz - makes keeping a garaged car, which doesn't see much bad weather, really easy to maintain.
I am too cheap to do a complete job is making fun of himself. Your belief that a complete job is the only way to do it right is WRONG. I did front fascia, partial hood, mirrors, rockers, behind wheels. That's all that's necessary for most as clear bra is not a cosmetic enhancement and that's where chips are most likely to occur.
Take a look at my thread on the Boomerang mud flaps/stone guards. I have 10,000 miles on my car and the bottom of the rockers look like new. i had the rockers wrapped, however, he never took the wrap down to the bottom, in other words he wrapped 2/3 of the rocker. Basically, the stone guards protected the front and bottom of the rockers. They blend in and are hard to detect. Just a guess, but, the front lip of your rockers are probably down to the base metal.
I am in process of un-wrapping my car, the installer used 3M and over 50% of the wrap has discolored. The damage is not front heat, even the front is discolored. I will have it re-wrapped in spring time, I will have to do a little research this time, the 3M was a huge disappointment.
