    First drive in C7

I know a number of people cross shop these cars. Today I drove a convertible, non Z51 auto. Very different experience from the Viper. I loved the open air, but the steering is numb. When you gas it there's a pause, then a downshift, then the rear tires feel like they're going to break loose. Felt very disconnected. The comp seats are comfortable, and the interior is a step up for Corvette, but a distant second to my GT.

Would love to try a Z06. Hard to come by in Canada.

No surprise here. GM is too busy paying out lawsuits to build quality vehicles. Garbage. I wouldn't allow my son or daughter to ride in their product. Period.

Haha, tell us how you really feel!

A friend bought a new Z07 this summer. But soon after, moved it to one of his other houses, I really should have traded cars with him for a half hour beforehand, to try it out. I have no doubt I'd like it.

    LOL!

I had the opportunity to drive their new Camaro SS M/T and let me tell you with you an unbiased opinion, that thing is light years ahead of our Challenger in every aspect. I took it to a track day and it blew my expectations. And that was without the Magnetic Ride Control. GM's stepping it up there's no denying that.

That's because the Challenger and Charger, especially the Hellcat versions, are the last true muscle cars probably to ever be built. They've thrown a ridiculous amount of power onto an otherwise underwhelming car and made them fun to drive. Ford and Chevy are going a different route with their pony cars and it will be interesting to see if Dodge is able to come up with something to compete.

But on topic my wife says I'm not an old man with ED so I can't get a Corvette. Works for me!

I rented a Stingray convertible for a weekend in the Keys a while back. I was actually really impressed with the car. It lacked a ton of power, but sounded great and the interior was nicely laid out. I think a Z51 coupe would make a great daily driver.

Don't fall for that car and it's bullshit, the only thing they got right on the corvette is that nifty little drug compartment behind the screen of the radio lol...
