    Mix & Matching Viper Logos

    Don't like it.

I see this a lot, does it bother anyone else? I bought a Gen2 and the shifter knob had the "fangs" logo on it—first thing I did was fire it in the trash and got the sneaky pete one.

I think it's a pity that they have changed the logo anyway.
You don't see that with a Lambo or Ferrari logo also.

Fair point. It's slightly different in the sense that Ferrari and Lamborghini use their manufactures logos on all their models—the models fit the brand. Were as the Viper and Corvette use model specific badging—giving them proper branding because they're so different from the rest of the line-up. I suppose it's easier to update the logo when it doesn't involve changing the branding for the entire company.. But to your point, they could still use the same logo. I kinda like how the corvette logo slowly evolved with each generation though..

I like the varying logos for each generation and I think they match their respective generation very well, style wise.

Outside of paying homage to the other generations (which you kind of are anyways because it's a viper) I really dislike mix-and-match on a given car as well. Stick with the right theme!

I like all the Viper logos but I could have lived with the original logo on all of the GENs. I would never mix logos from different GENs on a car. My vote is to keep the logo right to the specific Gen if you replace or put anything on with a logo.

Exactly, I don't mind that they evolved but keep the badging/emblem/logo congruent with your specific generation viper. My only beef is mixing and matching, yet I see it all the time..glad to see I'm not the only one

I kinda dig the specific logo per generation. Sneaky Pete will ALWAYS be my favorite. But I don't care for mixing and matching logos on the cars (I have seen this done on interiors and it just looked confused) If one were to do so though, I would say the original logo on the newer is the way to go, not the other way around. However, on accessories like car covers, hats, shirts, bags, I would be ok with mixing though again would prefer say... the original logo embroidered on a cover for a 2016 than the other way around. An homage to the car that started it all kind of thing. But interior logos that are intergenerational just looks confused to me.

Some people may dig it though. I thought the Gen V steering wheel looked good in the Gen IV but that may be an exception. Cubican did a really good job with that.

I understand it, but it's not like you're up badging. You're not putting M badges on a non-M or SRT badges on a 6 cylinder SXT.

The seats in my car are from a Gen3 and were redone with a Gen3 "Fangs" logo, but they are in my Gen2. I have a Gen3 shift knob but that I wouldn't mind changing. It doesn't bother me too much but I would change it if I found one I liked more.

I don't mind it overall. Sometimes, it is whatever works for you.

Heck, I have 08 ACR stripes on my 97...LOL!

Same with me here, to me it is a clear "no go", I would never use anything else but Sneaky Pete in my Gen 2.

When I bought mine it had Fangs doormats and the Fangs Shift knob. I replaced doormats with custom Lloyds with Sneaky Pete, but am having a hell of a time trying to find a suitable Hurst Shift knob replacement.

I would have to say that it does/did bother me that I have/had Fangs logos instead of Sneaky Pete.

However, I do sport a Fangs Hat, but that was a gift.

I have the Daffy Duck center caps on my Gen III wheels...it's always bugged me. So much so that I ordered a set of wheels from Tony. Haha

So question....i have an 02 gts and just bought gen5 wheels with no caps. I need new caps. Do i stick with sneaky pete on my gen5 wheels or match my wheels and caps. OR just order caps that say Viper ?
    So many options????

    How about center caps?

When/if I get the money to splurge on gen V sidewinders for my gen 2, I don't know what I'll do about the center caps. They'll need to match the color of the rest of the wheel exactly, so I might just stick with the Gen V logo on there when the time comes. I'd rather have Sneaky Pete, but I'm not going to break the bank on it.

I have an 02 GTS with GEN V sidewinder II wheels/and oem pete center caps. My GEN V has the MGW license plate holder (Fangs) taken from my previous 06 coupe. Kinda like the fangs license plate holder on the rear of my GEN V, Fangs appear to be in attack mode.

I have HRE wheels and wanted sneaky pete logos so I had them made, and by that—I mean I had domed decals made...not one person that I know of has noticed they weren't actually caps. They can be made to just about any diameter, they're customizable, and they're like $10-$20 a set, if you don't like them peal em off..

This. Corvettes, Mustangs never felt the need to change the logo every week. No wonder people do not know what the car is half the time.

    !
I wouldn't use different badges personally, but I agree.

I had fangs caps on my gen III wheels on my 02GTS. Never bothered me strangely enough. If I were buying wheels though, I would go for caps that matched the car or just said Viper on them. But that's obviously just an opinion.

I like the painted Gen V caps that someone on here sells. They are good looking.

Mmmm, at a distance, Stryker kinda looks like Sneaky Pete, well much more so than Fangs does anyways, I'd leave them if they came with the wheels.

On that note, Sneaky Pete is my favorite emblem, even though I've never owned a Gen 1 or 2. He just looks like an a$$hole.

Parts Rack has some very nice engraved Sneaky Pete logo center caps that fit Gen V Sidewinder II's.

    ^^^^^bingo^^^^

Yeah I think you can get all logos for any Viper wheel from partsrack and they really aren't expensive. At least I don't think so. I would run the logo that machete the generation of the car, and or just "Viper". But...I think you could never go wrong with the originals if you are gonna mix logos.

Well I was wrong. I thought the Corvette emblem has stayed pretty consistent over the years. Guess I need to pay more attention to them.

I am the same with viper shirts.
I only wear the logo of the viper I have, and it's hard to find shirts with anything other than the new logo!

I put all 3 logos up in the garage. I love all things Viper so it seemed very appropriate.
