    Grammas 1980 Camaro

My gramma (83 yrs old now) is passing her minty awesome 50,000mile (80,000kms) 1980 Camaro coupe onto my mother (63) who will never use the car and is asking me to sell it for her as it will be her part of her retirement fund.

I have no idea what this thing is worth. Its mint. I am the only person in the world who has ever sat in the back seat when she bought it new out of Vancouver, BC.

Original engine is the smallest 267? or something V8. Still has factory paint, stickers and so on in the engine bay and the trunk is clean enough to eat out of. Interior is mint and the car spent its entire life in heated undergound parking under a high rise apartment building in Burnaby, BC.

Car is now with me in Alberta in storage until the weather clears up.

Its nothing amazing option wise. Has wire wheel hubcaps, air tilt cruise, power windows and so on but is just a plain gold coupe. It has a dealer installed sunroof (you remember those ones) in it. Which i think might be a detraction and not a plus.

Pictures are supposed to be on the way but we are talking about 2 old ladies here.

Any ideas on price tags? $5k? $50k? Trade for a SL G? God knows. Thanks for the help!

It is just a guessing game until we can see photos of it, and the condition it is in. Rust could be a deal breaker on value. The sunroof certainly hurts value, but it doesn't sound like a desirable trim level anyways.

sounds cool. Might be worth keeping for the long haul. What colour is it? I always liked black on that generation of Camaro

There is no rust on it. It has never been outside long enough to get rust...

NADA says $5k-$10K which seems to be what I was thinking also. Its a gold (?) color. I have no room for it and I dont have any desire to throw $10k at it so it can sit at my house. In the spring ill put it in the autotrader and kijiji for $15k and wait for an American to use our 30% currency discount. haha!

    Thanks for the help.
