Forza also lost cars and tracks (it's down to 200 cars total to 'make up for quality', so Dan Greenawalt says.) Turn 10 seems to cater more towards Microsoft these days than the fans of the series and take basic cars in previous games and package them in DLC content to make Microsoft a few extra bucks. No Nurburgring either, that was a major turn off for me.
Both games have their flaws, no doubt. I can live with the cars sounding like vaccum cleaners for better graphics and amazing handling characteristics, but I think Kaz and the designers of GT6 really pushed the limits on a PS3. While X-amount of cars are (still) Premium versions they haven't sacrificed anything like Forza has. So now I can sit back, play GT6 for a while, and buy a PS4 when GT7 arrives.
