Great price on a rare car!

    Blue/white 1997 RT. I think this was a steal:

These cars will go into the 6 digits right after the GT-R 1998 GTS cars.

Nice car. How does 1 of 56 make it "the rarest Viper to ever make production"?. There are a lot rarer Vipers out there.

There's no such thing as a rare Viper. The factory offers 1 of 1 builds, effectively making the whole rarest car ever a bunch of balony. Most buyers are not informed and easily buy into some sellers manipulative sales tactics.

Which ones were rarer? I'm curious because I thought these were the lowest production aside from the new 1 of 1 with the Gen V.

As far as Gen II's go, the VCA had a raffle car that was a GEN II RT/10 ACR, I believe.

As far as Gen II's go, the VCA had a raffle car that was a GEN II RT/10 ACR. Graphite ACR's had a lower number. If you look at specifics 1 of 56 is not rare. On the other hand, if you like RT/10's and blue and white you've got 56 cars out there to choose from.

Rare. What about the 2002 ACR in blue. Only 1 ever. In that year!

My opinion, and you know what that's like............... anyway, except for the VCA raffle car I stated, in general the price of a GTS will always be higher than the equivalent RT/10. The back end of an RT/10 is just really dated looking (again my opinion), the GTS ass is probably the best looking of any car ever made. Market values likely confirm my opinion.
They made a lot of B/W GTSs in 96/97. They only made 53 factory B/W RTs. I think these particular RTs will always command a higher premium.

I dunno, 1 of 14 hot dog cars from 97' might be 'rare'.

I have to dig a little, but it's possible mine is one of those 14.

You guys make me laugh with all that 1 of 1 bullshit just because a viper was painted a different color. What F'ing Ever! It's the same damn car, just a different color.

Yet some same damn cars that are just a different color will always bring a premium. Such as a $45K RT/10..

I'm guessing the seller's interests lean towards the earlier cars....so he's probably not up on all the 1 of 1, etc.

That being said...the B/W RT is about the only Gen 2 RT I'd buy. I prefer the earlier cars, and also had no idea about the Laguna, etc mentioned above...

Actually , model wise, easy to argue the 20 ACR Convertibles are the rarest done. Not just finished in only 4 colors ( variations even with those) , the car has it's own code from Dodge and with 20 examples as a distinct model, carries a ton of credibility , long term, as the most unique model built.

But in answer , this is a rare GTS Blue RT-10 and very solid buy for someone if the car has not been wrecked or anything?

I'm inclined to agree. What about the Aero Coupe verts.? I see them less then the Woodhouse ACR Verts.

The Convertibles with the Aero Group are pretty rare, though they are more numerous over the years built than the ACR verts. They are actually listed as a convertible , with the Aero Group option. The cool part for the ACR convertibles, is , as noted , they have their own separate body code.
